    Holy cow!! I havent checked in here for awhile but this is just the BEST news ever. I'm so happy the Meg is tasting and gaining and all of these wonderful improvements. Great pic too...the costumes are adorable.

    I've tried maple syrup, agave, stevia, honey.....all the healthy alternatives...and I react to all of them. I avoided regular sugar for over a year but then when I tried it...I didnt really react as badly. I really have no use for sugar so I dont eat it but of course it is in the ice cream. I tried to make my own home-made and sugar-free ice cream but I reacted...

    I cant say I trust him 100%.....its too early in the game. Lets just say I'm giving him a chance...will have to wait and see. I may schedule an appt. with the Lyme Dr. who comes to our area every 3 months. I'm gonna ask the Bioset lady tomorrow. The next visit will be in Dec. This Dr. is an LLMD....supposedly very good.     Yup...I know about this stuff. Mainly because for the first year and a half I thought all my health problems were due to my thyroid problems.     I had to take Flagyl (metronidazole) about 8 months ago. I was pretty miserable the entire 2 weeks I was on it. I felt as if every symptom I'd ever had was coming back. I sucked it up and completed the 2 weeks but felt like death the whole time I was on it. I've been sick the past 4 years...all kinds of growing intolerances and just never getting better...

    Hmmmm....still thinking about all those people on antibiotics and not getting better. Then again I also know that antibiotics works well for some people and they DO get better.     Actually Graves Disease is OVERactive thyroid....it means the thyroid is already producing too much hormone all on its own. People with Graves do not take thyroid hormone replacement....that would just worsen the problem. In my case I had radioactive iodine treatment to treat Graves and shut down my thyroid for good. Now I do need to take thyroid hormone...

    Carbonated water is out for me. I also cant have fruit juice. Yup....I am stuck with purified water for the time being. Maybe in a few months I'll be able to have juice from organic fruit.     Yup...I was tested for casein...it was negative. Well it was barely negative...it was a 9. I hadnt been eating dairy for a few months before the test but in my mind now.....it doesnt matter. I listen to my body over the results of any food testing. Thats what my Dr. said as well....listen to your body. Thats why he was kind of left with his mouth hanging...

    I could be wrong but my guess is AB=Antibody??? They did not test you for IgA deficiency.

    I dont mean the anti-gliadin IgA....I had meant the "Total serum IgA". It is to determine whether or not your body is producing normal amounts of IgA. If not....you are IgA deficient....which means you will never test positive for Celiac in a bloodtest...even if you have it. There are alot of Celiacs who are IgA deficient....they only will have elevated IgG...

    How do you feel....thats the important thing? Do you feel like going gluten-free was the answer or do you feel like something still isnt right? Did they test your IgA levels when they ran the Celiac tests? If you were IgA deficient that would be another reason for only having an elevated IgG. If you are continuing to have problems then maybe other possibilities...

    Yeah....it sounds right. I herxed and it was not fun. Susan....yeah it can hurt. Its like every symptom you ever had hitting you at once or a milder herx reaction could just feel like the flu or you could just experiene headache or fatigue. I think I got a big herx reaction.
