Miscreants??? I swear I learn a new word everyday just from reading Susan's posts! Susan, I think you should go back to the pub....be totally non-chalant about the whole thing. Talk to the guy...talk to *other* guys...have a GOOD TIME. Dont even ask him why he didnt call...you never even noticed....forgot all about it. What cabin in the mountain... -

I love animals too... I always saw myself working with animals somehow. When my house was getting built I got a second job to save more money for moving in. I worked at PetsMart. I think every penny I made I gave right back to them. I bought my bird while I was working there....employee discount. Around that time I had 2 dogs, a cat, 3 ferrets... -

Why is my mind just never satisfied or convinced of anything??? Now I am wondering if I truelly have Lyme Disease....will need more proof to convince myself. I think my mind plays evil tricks on me. Well I'm glad I just took this other test so maybe THAT will convince me....I'm wondering what it will take. Maybe I actually need to see one of... -

Hi everyone. BIG HUGS for Andrea and Susan. There's a hugfest going on tonight. I went to the Bioset laday but I think I'll save my scientificness for tomorrow....I need food and then sleep. OMG....I can just see all of us at Susan's house....half of us crying, Rinne ironing pillow cases, Andrea doing plenty of mothering, lots of... -

ROFLMAO OMG....I had a calm and rational thought about how I would respond to the email... My thoughts were "dingo'd" as soon as I read the second email! Rinne....do you seriously want to get better???....cuz if you're *not* just forget about this cure she's offering you...its only for people who are serious about their health. ROFLMAO... -
ARCHIVED Who Knows What Their Genes Are?

Carla, I'm thinking along these lines too. Mainly because alot of us with non-celiac gluten sensitivity dont seem to do well with gluten-free goodies either. Most of us seem to stick to whole foods to feel better. If I go *just* gluten free but continue eating all gluten-free processed foods...I am not ok. If I go gluten-free and also eliminate ALL... -
Most people with Lyme never see a bite or rash. I had a tiny bite....I wouldnt have noticed it if it were on my back or head or someplace not clearly visible. I only noticed it because it took a long time to go away. I didnt get sick until 2 years after I got infected from the bite....I had no idea at the time that that one bite would wreck my life 2 years...

ARCHIVED Who Knows What Their Genes Are?
Rachel--24 replied to Rachel--24's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
In a nutshell I want to know what is the significance of the "sensitivity" genes???? This is not clear to me since everyone here carries them....along with all of the other people walking around eating gluten all day long?? There is no scientific *proof* that these genes get triggered and cause disease as is the case with the DQ2 and DQ8 genes. If there is... -

Scientifically speaking they are not the same thing. There is a distinct difference....Celiac Disease causes blunting of the villi...that is the definintion of the disease. An intolerance may cause damage of some sort but nothing that can be proven in a test to be related to gluten. If a person has joint pain for example...and that joint pain disappears with... -

Funny thing is I didnt even have any redness in my eyes or anything visibly showing irritation...no floaters...just a whole lot of pain, pressure and sensitivity to light. It couldve still been the Graves Disease since the eye problems are a part of Graves....my eyes never bugged out though...they just hurt alot. It was after the radioactive iodine treatment... -

ummmm....lets see....I have to think really hard about this. Its kind of hard to rememeber all 5 foods I've been eating for the past 2 months. This is my diet...Organic grass-fed beef, organic popcorn kernals, organic unsweetened applesauce or apples, organic potatoes (sometimes I get Auxigro'd from these ) and GET THIS....ice cream. Yup... -

Yeah...I got the same treatment except only one AIDS test. Funny thing is that when I finally got to see the GI (first of 3) for Celiac....all I got from him was a lab slip for an AIDS test. From the GI....who I went to about CELIAC??? -

If you read this magazine article you will see there is no mention of Lyme. Thats because this was written in 2000. The guy got his health back and was fine until 2004 and then everything came back. He started all his treatments all over again but didnt get better. Then in 2005 he went to the Bioset lady....found out about Lyme and ordered the Igenix tests... -

Happygirl Laura, I'm glad you're going there. Make sure whatever tests they run they use specialty labs....like Igenix for Lyme. The clinic I used to go to used the same lab for all kinds of testing but the tests werent really specialized for what they were testing. They tested for Lyme and Epstein Barr and all these things but it was all in one... -

Poor little Dingo...everyone is picking on his ears. He is the cutest dingo ever! Yeah.....I always fall in love with the ones who have "defects". My dog has an extra dewclaw...6 toes....nobody wanted him. He turned out to be the greatest dog!! I will have to put him up here one of these days. His name is Bear. I've had him 13 years now. -

Thats exactly what I'm gonna do! I'm blaming it on the Lyme-fog. Chinanery. Yes....I HAVE that!! I have a freakin annoying film over my eyes...it sucks. Its not there all the time though...but my vision is blurry....mostly when I look far away. This has improved IMMENSELY from when all this started...my eyes were the most affected in... -

Hawkfire...I havent read through all the posts yet so dont know if this has already been answered?? Lyme Disease is everywhere....except maybe Alaska. I am on the West Coast....in the Bay Area, CA and I was just diagnosed with Lyme last month. I think I got it in Tahoe back in 2000 but I didnt actually get sick until 2002. Did you get ahold of Igenix... -

Andrea, How do we know that any malabsorption that may show up is even related to gluten though? Take me for example...malabsorption score of 912 (a very high score), positive IgA, positive tTG, 2 intolerance genes and then it turns out my malabsorption has nothing to do with gluten. So what do all of these results mean?? How can we know for sure if... -

Exactly...why bother testing unless you wanna know if you carry a Celiac gene to either back up positive bloodwork or to make a Celiac diagnosis?? What good does it do for us to know if we have intolerance genes if EVERYONE has them??? I'm already quite sure that I'm not Asian.....couldn't they have just said "you are guaranteed Celiac genes or intolerance... -

It *can* be the outcome if LD is left untreated. It wouldnt happen to everyone because Lyme doesnt affect everyone the same. If treated then yes.....the potential for developing RA would be diminished. It also depends on how long the LD went untreated and if there is permanent damage. I think in most cases there would be significant improvement with treatment... -
