  1. I dont know much about saliva tests but I dont think they would be useful for diagnosing Celiac....at least I'm unaware of this as being a reliable method of testing?? Possibly someone else has more knowledge about these tests?
  2. So...the other day I got all happy thinking that my Bioset lady was gonna get started on the chemicals. Now....I'm thinking thats not whats gonna happen. She had said "Next time I see you we will be working on the chemicals." I assumed she meant today....but noooo.....today I had a *different* BioSET lady. Actually on my treatment protocol it...
  3. The Dr. I went to for the mercury stuff....he's the one who suspected Lyme and ordered the Igenix test. I'm still seeing him but I wanted to include the LLMD into my wellness "team". I want them to work together. My Bioset lady said she treats other people who have my same Dr...and also the LLMD (who comes once every 3 months) ....they work as a team. My...
  4. Yup....thats what I tell myself everyday. The sacrifices are small in comparison to what I can get back....I cant put a price on my health.
  5. ROFL.... Yeah....first I gotta get rid of the brainfog so I can actually *understand* how to be a Voo-Doo woman. Like Carla said.....I will totally be able to relate to the BioSET patient and the patient would be able to relate to me. I think if I got better and they knew I'd been just as sick as they are....it would give them alot of hope...
  6. Yup...its right. I posted some info about that last night. The sicker people usually will get the false negative result......because all of their antibodies are tied up with the Lyme. They will ususally test positive after being on antibiotics for awhile....because the antibodies are "freed" up once the Lyme starts dying off.
  7. I will answer before Rinne does..... Hmmmm....Lyme Clan
  8. My reason for using Enterolab was because I was already on a gluten-free diet. I didn't want to have to go back on gluten for several weeks to do the bloodwork. I did have bloodwork first but was already on the diet and wasnt aware that the test would be innaccurate. My Dr. wasnt aware either. I was already gluten-free for 4 months when I found out I...
  9. Miamia...I'm anxiously awaiting your eos results. I get all nervous when people are getting their test results back. Laura....same goes for you but wont be feeling nervous until sometime next week. I'm glad its all over now...I know its exhausting going through all this stuff. Is it treated just by eliminating the offending foods? How do you determine...
  10. Honestly, I dont think I would jump in with both feet...so to speak. I think I would be very catious...given all that I've learned about gluten over the past year and a half....and not knowing for sure if the test results are valid. I might just test the waters...just to see if I notice any type of reaction. I would have to be symtpom free from the Lyme...
  11. I see your point but the thing is....all of my lab tests (and there were plenty) were completely normal pre-gluten-free and post gluten-free. There were no changes...I had a million tests done before I implemented the diet....not just blood work but CT scans, MRI...etc. I've also had the endoscopy/biopsy and a colonoscopy....everything was normal. There was...
  12. This is one of the main reasons I want to do the test again. There is no evidence (other than what Enterolab states) that tTG in the stool is specific to gluten. I have other conditions...Graves Disease, Lyme Disease, candida and who knows what else. If I test after being gluten-free for two whole years the tTG should be within normal range. My Lyme Disease...
  13. I dont plan on doing the test today. I have alot of money going out right now for treatment of my recent Lyme diagnosis. It wouldnt make sense for me to pay for the Enterolab test right now...I'm thinking in about 6 months. This would make me totally gluten-free for 2 whole years. My numbers werent high to begin with. I believe my IgA was 16 and tTG was ...
  14. Since I dont have much *proof* of what my Enterolab results mean and I cant gauge what my reaction to gluten would be....I think I might have to do my own experiment. First, the genes dont tell me much since everyone seems to have a combo of gluten intolerance genes. Second, are we 100% positive that tTG in the stool is specific to gluten only and cannot...
  15. I can have another egg after a couple days. Now....because of the stupid B-12 ...I will not know whether the egg had an affect on me or not. Good question...I dont really know. If I've had a bad day at work as far as exposure to perfumes and stuff....by the time I get to my appt. I'm sometimes in a major fog. When I get like that I cant really retain...
  16. Yup....they gave me those drops too...for adrenals. I had a MAJOR reaction the first time I tried it. It wasnt just my mouth burning...it was my whole body....and the swelling, fluid rention, etc. I took them back to HN and requested my money back since I'd already told them I cant tolerate supplements. What...do all these people think I'm just making...
  17. Havent heard anything....do the results come back that quickly? When will you get yours?
  18. Well I took the VitB-12 three times now and I reacted every time. I'm suppossed to take 10 drops 2 times a day. Last night I had an obvious reaction so right now I took 5 drops and still had an obvious reaction. Of course the drops arent just B-12. They have alcohol, stevia extract, flavoring and glycerin. I dont wannna take it anymore.....it burns my...
  19. Beverly.....I need ideas. I wanna write a letter...I dont know alot about Lynne except that she's very funny, kind and we both love scrapbooking. I need help....
  20. It might have not happened that way...he could have been infected by a tick and unaware of it.... like what happened to me. She could have gotten sick quickly and he could have gotten sick much later.....like me. Theres no way to really know for sure.....like so many other things. From what I've read and from what the BioSET lady told me it sounded like they...
  21. Donna, YAY about getting more amalgams out. Ummmm....hopefully you are not still lopsided. I wonder if its the same Dr. Adams that removed mine?? I'm still baffled by the whole retirement letter I recieved. I mean...I was still eating gluten and everything else at the time but I dont think I was totally delusional. Is it the guy in...
  22. This is what I'm wondering about though. How can she be 100% certain that the Lyme was transmitted sexually? Did she already have Lyme before she met him? If they were already together once she got Lyme couldnt he have also been infected from the same place she was infected. If she was exposed to ticks carrying Lyme...there is a big chance he was exposed...
  23. Check this out!! This is the best news that I've been wanting to share. Last night the BioSET lady was working on some brain stuff that I was having difficulties with (according to the testing). The stuff involved in my treatment last night was stuff like TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) and some brain transmitters (I think Dopamine (sp?) and some...
  24. I dont know. All I know is that the BioSET lady told me all of her Lyme patients are very careful with their partners because they know all they've been through and dont want to risk getting their partner sick. She did say that if the partner has a strong immune system they may never actually get sick with Lyme. I think it has everything to do with the load...
  25. Another story in the newspaper is about a woman sick with CFS for 8 years. She was basically debilitated by the "chronic Fatigue Syndrome". Finally she learned about Lyme....got tested but was NEGATIVE. The Dr. treated her regardless based on history and symptoms and because she lived in an endemic area. After 4 months of antibiotics she was retested and...
