    Whenever I tried to find out about Lyme cases in this area...I couldnt find much...so thats another reason I kind of gave up on Lyme.     Laura, Thanks for the explanation about eos. I went to the mailbox...there was a big fat envelope from Igenix ...OMG...I was suprised by how fast I tore it open. It was only the stuff I need to send to insurance...no test results. Do you think I could have put myself at risk like this though??

    No BioSET is not a specific method of testing. BioSET cannot diagnose any disease....its also highly sensitive so it can pick up things that arent really there. Its kind of like ELISA food intolerance testing....its not diagnostic or specific.....just a tool to figure stuff out....there can be false positives or false negatives. It can give you an indication...

    Yeah...stealthy. I dont know how I feel...I need more certainty. I've been researching and without the 39 or 34 being a clear positive I have big ??'s in my head. Some of the other bands...especially 41 arent all specific for Lyme. I read that ALL Lyme patients are positive for 41 but it could also be positive from other bacteria...besides Lyme...

    If anyone has trouble getting the Igenix test.... A defination of the test results I really liked the movie... I think I probably should have hated it....given the heinosity of my own break-up ordeals...but I actually liked it.

    Rinne... I found this...it just gets more confusing to me. I dont think any of the positive bands on my test can totally confirm Lyme Disease. The *most* significant on my test would be the IND's on band 39 and band 34. I think IND's are significant but I would still rather see a positive here.

    Yeah....thats how I felt!! Nothing ever showed up...making it look like I was some kind of hypochondriach freak. I was starting to think it was all some kind of cruel joke.....that I was getting punished for something in a past life or something. How could I feel like this and everything is normal???     It makes sense. Keep in mind that you might not be able to get "rid" of it completely *because* of the underlying cause....but you might be able to feel better which is the main thing. I'm gad you're gonna look for your results....hopefully you can find them....if not.....no big deal because your Dr. will have them. That does suck about how...

    No kidding. Not eating gluten??? Thats small potatoes... About the anti-depressants. They tried to push them on me for 3 years. I finally relented when the OBGYN tried to convince me that if only I gave it as chance I would get better...he *guaranteed* that 2 months on Prozac would change my life. I finally said ok....and guess what....nothing happened...

    The moldy peach smell was something I was noticing before I got sick. It was bothering me alot....making me want to puke.     We have built in speakers only in one room of the house. I just have stereos everywhere....cuz I love music. In the kitchen I have one of those under the cabinet ones with a celiac disease player. I installed it under the cabinet....like those can openers that you can put under the cabinet....its like that.     OMG...I have no recipe but I love BEARCLAWS!! One of my favorite things ever....I miss them even more than dounts or any other pastry type thing. I would love to have a bearclaw again someday.     She said she has and is negative. From what you can see with me and Rinne though....a negative isnt always a negative. It depends on how her Dr. interpreted the results. I was hoping she could get the results and post them. The tests arent straightforward so its important to know how to read them and whether or not further testing should be done. I dont...

    Unfortunately Lyme testing isnt really that straight forward. False negatives are very common and I'm only aware of 2 labs that are reliable. One of the labs is Igenix....which is the lab my Dr. used. Here is what one Dr. wrote about the testing. Testing for Lyme and getting a positive diagnosis (even when the disease is present) is not always...
