    Bev, my insurance covers 50%. I dont have great coverage right now because I wanted an open plan...it has the least coverage but I can see whomever I want. I needed to do that at least until I got an idea of everything thats going on with me. If I stay wihin the PPO I'm covered 75% but this doc I'm seeing right now is non-PPO. Wow Rinne....a busy...

    Bev, Defineately do get tested through Igenix if at all possible. Something like Lyme just shouldnt go undiagnosed. Also with Lyme there can be times of feeling better....times of feeling worse. Symptoms come...symptoms go. Its a really dufficult disease to diagnose. It seems so obvious now....knowing all that I know and looking back at how this all...

    Tavi, Yes, I was only stating that its a huge factor in obesity....not the sole cause. Many things can contribute...gentecics included. It certainly cant help that MSG is in just about everything processed and a very large portion of the american diet is processed foods. The amounts of MSG hidden in our foods has steadily increased over the years...

    I think my least favorite part of the day is when I wake up in the morning...its when I'm most aware of what this disease has done. Everything feels stiff and achey in the morning....once I'm at work it sort of wears off.     Patti, The only thing that comes to mind about the tomatoes is when I was researching all the MSG stuff it always said no canned tomatoes. This was for someone highly sensitive though. Tomatoes are super high in glutamate and then when heated and processed the natural glutamates turn into the bad MSG. When I was learning that diet it said to avoid canned...

    Robbin...personally I think they'll go away. I'm gonna stay off gluten but hope to eat normally again. I asked my doc about this. He said I'll always have to eat a more healthy diet now that this has happened....I cant go back to my old eating habits. I'm fine with that...I wanna keep my immune system strong.     Donna, I always bring a queen size air mattress....I'm telling you my camping trips are quite luxurious. Got a huge tent too....you can stand up in it...even walk around.     Patti...I dont know this either....hoping somebody else does. Seems like all the people getting big and noticeable ticks on them dont actually end up with Lyme. I'm wondering about actual size of ticks that carry Lyme. I think I read that here in CA...the tick that carries Lyme is usually the black-legged tick. I'm pretty sure thats what I read. I...

    That is such a good point Julie! I never even thought about that....of course back then I never gave a second thought to what I ate...let alone the deer. They ate all my marshmallows!! They must have been sugar addicts! OMG....no wonder why they were coming down the hill by the dozens.....they were driven by the MSG! That is such a scary thought...

    Rinne, Good point about the co-infections. Big worries about that too. Didnt you say that Tailz tested negative for co-infections? (or was that Robbin who mentioned it). I would feel blessed if I dont have any co-infections....I'm also worried that I may have gotten a co-infection while on that camping trip. If I already had the Lyme for 2 years...maybe...

    Judy, My Dr. really stressed to me the importance about avoiding mold. Too much exposure can be bad for anyone but especially for someone with MCS. I think it could worsen the condition of anyone whos already weakened by other health problems. I would definately look into getting the mold taken care of. I think it would be good if you can get a Dr....

    More tick questions..... My mom was saying that she thought ticks always needed a host in order to stay alive. Susan....was your post saying that they will gorge themselves until they explode? So....if they get on a host they will die once they are done feasting?? EEEEEEEW. Then I've read that they live in tall grass and logs and places like that...

I still dont get how I could have hosted a tick and not known it. I've probably *seen* ticks before w/out actually knowing they were ticks...everything is a "bug" to me....unless its a spider...
