  1. Yes....I agree...I love reading Cissi's posts!! Her words just flow and capture me. We have someone else here who writes like that. Cant remember who it is now??
  2. Rinne, Low blood pressure is on the list. Its a different list from the one you posted. Its a few pages back...I'd try to locate it it but my computer is sooooo slow. Its making me crazy....and I cant keep up.
  3. ROFLMAO!! How dare you scoot out of here without having to read the lessons of the day!! I see how you are.
  4. I need to know...are you serious about this?? Awesome post Cissie!! You crack me up. Very wise too. Yes...we should most definately have a statue of Vincent...our recognized "Rachelville HERO". We cant forget those who have went above and beyond to help a fellow Celiac!! Great idea Cissie. About the Auxigro....I just plain hate it!...
  5. Carrie, You can get histamine reactions to any allergen or irritant. Anything the immune system sees as "foreign" or "bad" can trigger a release of histmaine. OOOPS... This is a duplicate post.....please see above post. BTW...I love your new avatar! Did you have your wedding yet?
  6. Carrie, You can get histamine reactions to any allergen or irritant. Anything the immune system sees as "foreign" or "bad" can trigger a release of histmaine.
  7. Julie, I came across that the other day but didnt really pay attention cuz it didnt have a food list or anything. It only listed some supplements but I cant take those right now. Where are you seeing her diet? Am I missing it? Its brings hope for sure....she got better in only a couple weeks. The lists I've seen for low histamine seem fairly...
  8. Vincent I'm not sure what you're describing but I get pins/needles and sort of a feeling of a band tightening around my head....like right above my ears and near my temples....it goes all the way around. It feels like pressure. In my case there is also swelling...not visible to anyone else though. I can just feel it.
  9. Carrie, Do you have problems with lots of foods or just the ones you're allergic to? Correct me if I'm wrong but dont you have "true" allergies to wheat and dairy? If you do....you'll always get a histamine reaction if you eat them. I dont think you can prevent it....I dont know if limiting all histime foods might "lessen" a reaction for you the next time...
  10. COOL!!! Are you up for the job? The R-Ville Vet will "moonlight" as the baiter/fish remover/fish cleaner/fish gutter person. You will be VERY busy....you will also have to move VERY quickly cuz soon as a fish is caught it needs to be cleaned and gutted asap. We have a deadline now....the fish can only be consumed within 30 minutes or we might get...
  11. Julie, The symptoms caused by the release of histamines are damn near identical to what I go through constantly. Thats how come I knew I was getting "histamine reactions". All this time I've known I get reactions that match this..but yet no true allergies. Alot of the stuff you read only associates histamine release with IgE "true allergies"....its not...
  12. Julie, I already got that taken care of several pages back. I said Rachelville will have a lake (stocked with fish)....for fishing and relaxing. I love fishing!! Not too fond of sticking bait on the hooks though and usually someone else has to release my fish from the hook cuz it freaks me out. Its the blood thing again....makes me all woozy and I start...
  13. LOL..apparantly I missed this in my own post. Now I have to go back and re-read. I have low blood pressure too!!! Its not low every time but occassionally it is.
  14. LMAO! Whatever.... I need the heat....seriously though...it makes me feel better. I feel more symptomatic in the cold. I think it has something to do with the swelling. I notice the more swelling/fluid...the harder it is to stay warm. My mom (complete opposite) seems to always want the a/c on....what is up with that??? She's like trying to freeze...
  15. Great news!! I'm so relieved. No posts from Andrea till Tues or Weds....thats so sad. Glad she's ok though! Heres more info on Histamines:
  16. <----------wondering how long it would take you to get there with those square wheels of yours. :::click:::clack::::click:::::clack
  17. Well...I have bad news. I cant call Andrea. Her number was in one of the pm's she sent me and apparantly I deleted the pm. My mailbox got full and I had to delete stuff...I deleted the wrong pm.
  18. Aaaah....she's not slippin after all. Hey guys, I'm out too!! I'm off to get more ice cream and enjoy the weather. Its gonna be 108 today. Woohoo! Gotta love it! I'll be back later...oh I'll try to get ahold of Andrea and I'll post if I find anything out. Have a great day in Rachelville! Oh....Rachelville is now a histamine-free facility...
  19. LMAO....its perfect! Yes....indeed, if Brad and Angelina were to develop Celiac the whole world would become aware of this disease!! Can you believe the amount of awareness that would spread....I can see it now! Front page of all the important mags.....yes, I read them ALL! I work in a grocery store and can NEVER walk accross the lobby w/out taking...
  20. Julie, This is very interesting stuff. Did the Naturopath ever say what was causing the elevated histamine levels? I definately think a diet restricting histamine containing foods is gonna make a difference but for me there are many things contributing to the release of histamine. Any allergen...perfumes, chemicals, foods, pollens, etc....can cause...
  21. I have her phone #.....maybe I should call??
  22. Yeah...I'm worried too. I hear something from Andrea on a daily basis. I was thinking maybe she went out of town but Andrea (being the sweetie she is) would probably send a message explaining her absence. Its not like her to be without a post for this long.
  23. See, This is exactly my point. Doctors suck! When it comes to gluten they are totally clueless and people like your sisters end up spending a lifetime riddled with health problems...unnecessarily. Until the day comes that the drug companies can make some money off of a Celiac diagnosis....its gonna remain unnoticed and underdiagnosed. Its really sad that...
  24. Ok...so my next big question is this: Suppose the gluten intolerance created a leaky gut, which then caused increased histimine levels, which then created a toxic overload....at this point its all a vicious cycle right? We're living in histamine hell and cant get out. Suppose this histamine restricted diet works...and I feel better than I have in a long...
  25. Wow Cissie, I cant believe how many symptoms your sisters have been dealing with. Are you all gluten intolerant or Celiac? It sounds like its possible. Am I understanding correctly...did you say you've taken antihistimines every day since about 1945?? Wow...thats a long time....and yes, I DO think the antihistimines probably have lessened your...
