Heck no....the sight of blood makes me get weak and almost pass out! I got enough problems already w/out getting all weak from bandaging up wounds all day. Sheeesh...cant even think about giving someone stitches! Seriously though....I see blood and I get all woozy and it feels like my arms might fall off. I cant even look when they take my blood... -

Donna, For some reason if I try to eat corn chips (tried 2 brands now) I get mouth blisters pretty quickly. Dont know what thats all about. Possibly sulfites?? I think they use sulfites for everything but arent declared if under 10 ppms. I havent figured it out yet but most processed stuff like chips, cereal and crackers gives me the blisters. The chips... -

Thats good cuz its not like its a rare occurrance or anything. You can pretty much expect that the Prez will be buzzed off Auxigro...half out of her mind from traces of gluten hiding in rice crackers....all tweaked out from histamine raging through her body, etc. Oh never mind, none of this will be happening in Rachelville where we never get sick and... -

LMAO!! We actually dont have enough men in Rachelville (yet) for a town ho. Mango is on a mission in Australia to bring back men and koalas. I think so far she has seen lots of cute Aussies (Susans anxiously awaiting their arrival) but none who are gluten free enough for Rachelville. She hasnt located a single koala though. Mango....if... -

Yes....thyroid....its low. Yeah...low thyroid and a need for increased meds = elevated TSH and low T4/T3. I'm still on Armour. I suspect if the Armour wasnt working at all I'd be pretty messed up considering I have no thyroid gland. My hair was falling out....thats about it. If I was laying in bed all day with fatigue, aches and... -

Our VP is Patti.....shes been handlin things while I've been "lost" and now "found" but yet....still not all there. Actually the brainfog is lifting. I think the low thyroid is causing a constant mental dullness....but this major brainfog was caused by something evil. Either Auxigro or gluten. I did start eating lettuce again 2 days ago....right... -

Thyroid meds take about 6 weeks to build up to a constant and stable level in the blood. Also the other way around...if you were stable and then just stopped taking meds it would take a few weeks to really have a big affect because the meds stay in the blood for awhile. Thats why I didnt start having hairloss until about a month after my meds got compounded... -

Hi everyone!!!!! I'm back in Rachelville!!! WOOHOO My mom's computer had some technical difficulties the past couple days. I couldnt get online. I had withdrawl and missed all my Rachelville buddies. I was coming home from work on my lunch break and it was soooo boring not being able to go to Rachelville. I actually took SHORT lunches for a change... -

Could you be accidently glutening yourself here and there? Accidents or issues with cross contamination can be enough to make you feel bad yet not enough to raise your antibody levels so that it shows up on the bloodtest. Do you eat out much? There is always a big risk when eating out. Do you have your own toaster, peanut butter, etc.? Have you checked your... -

I was nauseas the whole 2 weeks I was taking the pills...so its probably the pills. I hated being on them and I had to take it 3 x a day for 2 weeks. The nausea stopped as soon as I got off them so it was definately a side effect of the meds.

Holy Cow ChelsE.....I dont know how you do it! Everytime I read one of your posts having to do with the challenge...I just cringe. You are very BRAVE....I could never ever do a challenge....not even for one day just to satisfy my curiousity. I'm just too damn scared of gluten now. I envy all that you're able to eat right now but from what I remember... -
ARCHIVED Can You Please Describe Your Feeling Of Brain Fog?
Rachel--24 replied to azmom3's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Initially...improvement was dramatic and immediate (within one week) but at the time I was very ill, unable to work and just not functioning well at all so the affects of the diet change were very noticeable back then. I've been gluten-free over a year now and still have bouts of brainfog...unrelated to gluten though. I have other intolerances which cause... -
ARCHIVED I Got The Enerolab Results
Rachel--24 replied to averyevansmom's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
From all that I've researched DQ1 can cause some very bad symptoms. Having double DQ1....the symptoms can be just as bad and even worse than that of a diagnosed Celiac. There is alot of research about this on the Braintalk gluten free message board if you are interested. Not having a Celiac gene doesnt lessen your chances of developing other autoimmune diseases... -

I dont know if "researching" it would even help. I've been here since page one and I have no freakin clue what the original meaning of "spinach" was. It just kind of happened...."SPINACH HAPPENS". -

LOL...it does doesn't it?? I'm confused about the true meaning of "spinach" myself. Anyone?? It didn't start out that way....at least I dont think it did. Its meaning seems to have evolved into...well, just about anything you want! Dunno what to make of it and actually I'm feeling rather "spinached" right now so gonna sign off... -

Rachel--24 replied to debmidge's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Deb, I'm in agreement with Nini on this...I think most people *will* notice improvements off gluten and if its restricted enough...it will provoke symptoms once reintroduced. I've read many posts like yours...too many to not believe that we are all sensitive to some degree. -

Hi Britanny, Welcome to the board! Just an echo of whats already been posted...the endoscopy was a breeze for me. Totally dont remember any of it....it felt like a really great nap. Nothing painful about it whatsoever. Some people do get a sore throat afterwards but I didnt experience that. I was just a little "loopy" from the drugs....talking alot...
