When you say IgG, are you referring to something like this? https://www.xymogen.com/products/product-detail.aspx?pid=84 -
Leaky Gut And Joint Popping/pain
spirit-walk replied to spirit-walk's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Thanks for the prayers. The last few days have been rough. The popping in my knees and ankles is as bad as ever, and I don't really feel like doing anything. Can you expound on "functional medicine" and what IgG product are you referring to? Right now I have started taking RepairVite and Aloe Vera water recommended by a kinesiologist I am seeing. I've been... -
ARCHIVED Coeliac Disease And Food Intolerences
spirit-walk replied to fergusminto's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I have many food intolerances as well. I don't know how to get enough fat and carbs into my diet, and I keep losing weight. I have a high metabolism and this has become a problem. Without dairy, eggs, and gluten (along with many other foods), I just can't get enough fat it seems. -
Hello, I've posted in the past on this board, but it's been a few months. I've been on a year and a half journey that all started with severe joint pain. I thought I had RA, but I've seen numerous doctors (including the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota), and four rheumatologists have ruled out arthritis of any kind. I'm still not sure that I'm not suffering...

ARCHIVED My Latest Lab Tests (Fat Absorption) - Thoughts?
spirit-walk posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
After going through the last year and a half of tests thinking I could have Celiac's Disease to RA, the gastroenterologists I've been seeing wanted to check the fat absorption through a stool test. He had already done an upper endoscopy on me and found that I had inflammation in the stomach but didn't know the cause. They checked for Celiac's as well, but... -

Lock, I eat a lot of lean meats (chicken breasts). But I do eat ground turkey thigh and a lot of salmon. I just sent you a PM for some other questions. -

Here's what it says: Thyroid Peroxidase AB (TPO) 10.0 units <101. Result was obtained with INOVA QUANTA Lite TM TPO Elisa. Thyroid peroxidase Values obtained with different manufacturers' assay method may not be used interchangeably. The magnitude of the reported IgG levels cannot be correlated to endpoint titer. -

I have been tested for vitamin deficiencies, and my numbers seem to be okay. I haven't asked about pancreatitis. It doesn't appear that I have many of the symptoms though from what I read about it. Thanks for the input. -

Thanks for the input nora. The doctor seems to think that my numbers are in the normal range. I am concerned about the TSH rising. The rheumy I recently saw wanted me to try Cymbalta. I tried it for one day and felt horrible. I felt like I wanted to vomit and have been in a haze for the last couple of days. He also put me Nexium for the inflammation in the... -

Sure. TSH - 2.82 0.44-4.37 T3 Free - 3.6 2.5-3.9 T4 Free - 0.8 0.6-1.6 I had asked for the doctor to test Anti-TPO, and she said she was going to order the test, but I guess she didn't after all. Frustrating. I'm going to call the office tomorrow and ask about it. -

spirit-walk replied to spirit-walk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Alright, I got results back from the endocrinologist. TSH - 2.82 T3 Free - 3.6 T4 Free - 0.8 A year ago my TSH was 1.41. A month ago it was 2.2, and now it tested at 2.82. Should I be concerned that it is rising each time I've had it tested? -
ARCHIVED 7 Weeks Joint Pain - Only Symptom
spirit-walk replied to cmc112581's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
That is how my symptoms started almost 2 years ago. I too have joint pain with no swelling. It started in my fingers/hands, then moved to my wrists and progressed to hips, knees, shoulders. Later the joints began popping. My jaw pops too now. I've been on the hunt for what's wrong for nearly two years and still don't have answers. It's why I came to this... -
ARCHIVED What Do I Do Next? Help!
spirit-walk replied to karencuba16's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If one were Celiac and continued to eat gluten over a long period of time, could it create other food allergies? And if so, even if I'm no longer eating gluten, could I still be suffering from joint pain b/c I'm eating food that I've become intolerant to? I ask b/c I started having joint pain a few years ago. Very mild for a few years (would come and go)...- 7 replies

ARCHIVED Got My Results Back From Endoscopy And Colonoscopy
spirit-walk replied to spirit-walk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
This post is exactly how I would describe my joint popping. I know it is from food intolerances and spawned by an autoimmune issue that started all of this. I did something to my stomach to create an autoimmune issue, and I just don't know how to address it. I've been eating a strict diet for almost a year now, and it seems some of the worst symptoms I had... -
ARCHIVED Got My Results Back From Endoscopy And Colonoscopy
spirit-walk replied to spirit-walk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Pretty sure I have both. I had no food intolerances 2 years ago. I ate everything in sight including a lot of sugar, salt, and processed food. I have set up new doctor appointments with an endocrinologist, rheumatologist (new one), and gastroenterologist. I'm going to ask the endocrinologist about TSH, Free T4 and T3. I don't think I've been tested... -

I just had the colonoscopy and endoscopy done, and I was really nervous as well before the procedure. When I woke up, I didn't even know they had done anything. My throat was not sore, nor was the other end. I was more worried about the colonoscopy b/c I've been having problems with hemorrhoids and didn't want them flaring up worse, but the procedures were... -

NVS, Are you saying hemorrhoids could be caused from Celiac? If so: mouth ulcers (all my life) hemorrhoids (started around age 30) joint pain (mild 4-5 years ago, severe starting March 2012) dry skin trouble gaining weight (all my life) stomach issues as a kid drowsiness/lethargic (all my life) Stomach problems have been fairly absent for... -

NVS, Thanks for your help. I just checked, and my TSH was 1.41. I don't see the other tests you referenced. They also checked testosterone levels. My numbers back normal for testosterone (363 ng/dL). reference ranges were 175-781. But the "free testosterone calc" numbers were low (4.6 ng/dL). reference ranges were 6.0 - 27.0. Not sure... -

I've had my thyroid levels checked (my hands get cold really easy now), and I was told results were normal. Is Hashimotos something that can be difficult to diagnose? -

I think it is something I'm eating. The popping varies depending on the foods I ingest. Right now I'm having a lot of popping in the shoulders. I'm thinking I may have become intolerant to bananas since I've eaten them so often. If I continue to eat these foods, will it keep the gut from healing? I'm thinking a lot of my issues stem from the gut and possibly... -

And I'm back to square one. Nurse who called to give me the results said that they did not see any damage in the small intestine. I had a polyp where my esophagus and stomach meet, but the biopsy came back benign (as did all the other biopsies they took). Since I've been off gluten since September of last year, the results are inconclusive. The nurse said...
