  1. Magnesium supplements helped immensely with cramps, pain and twitching for me even though my lab tests did not show a deficiency.
  2. Thank you all! Looking forward to trying it!
  3. I bought some talenti gelato bars (sea salt caramel). The box states gluten free however I noticed they also offer gluten containing flavors. I sent the company an email asking how they prevent cc during production but I have not heard back. Has anyone had issues with this brand?
  4. That's great news! Thank you Nikki!
  5. Did you get a chance to try it Nikki? It would be great to know. I used to eat there before my diagnosis and miss their food
  6. The menu has lots of gluten-free options however it says in fine print on the menu that cc is possible. Has anyone tried it? I am wondering on whether it is more of a CYA statement and if I explain to the server my condition they can accommodate me safely.
  7. Have a business lunch / dinner there in a couple of weeks. any suggestions on safe restaurants?
  8. I took magnesium supplements even though blood work did not show a deficiency. Cramps were gone in a month. Hope that helps.
  9. Thank you all. I am not sure whether it was the spices or anything else but I am changing to a certified gluten-free brand just in case. It has been over a week and still not 100 percent but hopefully soon
  10. I am pretty sure I got glutened by the single ingredient spices I used last weekend. Which brand do you guys use that you feel are safe? The brand I used are simple organics and after I called them they said that the facility is not gluten free so there is a chance for cross contamination.
  11. Thank you Laura. I was fine after eating there.
  12. Has anyone had any experience with this restaurant? I am going there for a work dinner and am worried about how careful they are with gluten and other allergens.
  13. Foods keep getting added to the list unfortunately. What I have done is get on a rotational diet and try not to overdo any food. For some reason eating too much of something a few days in a row triggers a reaction. I also have an epi pen. I would strongly suggest seeing an allergist and asking for one. As for why, no one has any answers for me (I have...
  14. I am having the exact same problem. Two weeks in started having allergic reactions to dairy, moved on to nuts and snowballed from there to have allergic reactions to a bunch of other foods. Not a gluten reaction, an actuall allergic reaction. Now I have hives even when I don't eat the trigger foods. Been diagnosed and gluten free since February and have negative...
  15. The latest one I used Is a powder form. It is grown on a vegetable base and free of dairy, soy, corn etc. I picked it due to the claim of it being free of these added ingredients and it was definitely very expensive. I think it is just me having some sort of reaction to the probiotics. I do not know if it has played a reaction into my food allergies as I...
  16. Thank you all. The probiotics I chose had no fillers, no binders. Just pure probiotics grown on a vegetable culture. The company did not say which one as it is proprietary info. I am assuming I had a direct reaction to them vs the fillers. I did do a breath test and no overgrowth of bacteria. I am stumped as everyone I read about has had such a good response...
  17. Glad to hear they are working for you. I have made sure they are allergen free but I reacted really badly. I am wondering if my hives and food allergies are due to the probiotics.
  18. I used a gnc brand initially, then Culturelle. Recently I used GutPro (no fillers).
  19. The first one was milk based. I switched to a soy based one and then stopped taking them for a while. The last one is milk, corn, soy, rice free so not sure if the base of the probiotic is apt he problem. Could the bacteria itself be harmful?
  20. Thank you for replying. I have no doubt I have leaky gut which is why I thought probiotics would help. I am taking l glutamine for it, doing a rotational diet, removed all foods that bother me etc. i tried the digestive enzymes for a few months but I noticed zero difference. I am wondering if I am the only person that had such an adverse reaction to probiotics...
  21. I have seen a lot of people here try and have good results with probiotic. Has anyone had issues using them? I started taking them a few weeks after diagnosis. I stopped for a few months as I started dealing with hives, a cascade of new food allergies etc. I started again two months ago and my hives immediately got out of control. I had to take several Allegra...
  22. Has anyone tried it and has a brand that they recommend as safe?
  23. Given the hot weather I have started drinking kombucha and flavored waters / drinks, however I have started to feel a little off (joint pain etc) so i think I am being glutened. This is what I have tried. GT kombucha GUS grown up soda Ayala herbal water Hint water Fresh ginger - Ginger ale by Bruce Cost Does anyone have any experience with any of...
  24. A rash similar to heat rash after a day at the beach was one of the first things I noticed when I started getting sick. I still get a similar rash now if I go to the beach. I am not sure if it is celiac related but I hope with the supplements and gluten-free diet it will eventually go away. I try and stay in the shade as much as possible and put on sunscreen...
