  1. Thanks, Irish-The pom poms cheer me right up! This has been such a bizarre experience...I'm so ready to put it all behind me.
  2. Thanks everyone. Lol you're lucky I don't have the strength to throw anything dangerous. Jk! But you are absolutely right, there is no question in my mind, gluten and I don't get along!
  3. Three weeks of gluten. I'm a hot mess. Mostly neuro symptoms. brain fog is brutal. Achy body, headache, fatigue. My attention span is worse than a 18 mo old. Can't stay awake to save my life. Crazy sounds coming from my mid section and I have these weird bumps behind my ears and on my face. I look 6 mo pregnant. gahhhhhhh. Need to hold on, only 7 more...
  4. Love it! Guess who just made pizza but forgot to add the pizza sauce??
  5. Too funny! I guess two layers is better than going out WITHOUT pants though!
  6. Hahaha Keeping the copies in the fridge should be standard practice. That way I could always find them! I feel you on the washing machine, I just ran an entire cycle WITHOUT the clothes in there. FACE.PALM. Hey Irish! Yeah, I'm still ok. Physically, if not mentally. HA! Hanging in there and counting down the hours.
  7. Ankles aren't puffy, but my mid section sure is growing (and not in the good, I'm expecting a child, kinda way).
  8. Oh my gosh Irish!! Those injuries sounds terrible!! I have killed at least 3 frying pans with oil, takes FOREVER to get that smell out! I'm so lucky that I didn't burn the house down. Eek. I was a full on gluten head yesterday. Nothing I said made any sense!! Then at home last night I spaced off during a conversation with the hubs... He laughed at me...
  9. Ugh. Bloating. Really wish I would have kept my maternity pants right now!

  10. Sorry, after re-reading my posts I realized I made that kinda confusing going back and forth between cups/oz. I'm feeling pretty space cadet like today. Thanks for the info, I will def mention to my Dr!
  11. I should note, I have year allergic rhinitis (effectively treated with year round nasal steriod and nasal antihistime sprays), and the allergen counts are going up, so that could be a factor...
  12. Week 2 of gluten challenge and I noticed yesterday that I'ven been drinking lot more (water & caffiene free tea) the past couple days. In the past couple years I have increased my water intake, intentionally, to 8-10 (8oz) cups a day. Yesterday, I took in at least 16 cups. And I am still thirsty. I haven't had "D" (usually more of a "C" girl), and...
  13. I'm new here too and still figuring this all out, too...so I just wanted to offer up a supportive ((HUG)). I hope you feel better soon!! And like Brandiwine said, read read read. This website is so helpful, and the people in the forum are amazing. Hang in there, it WILL get better!!
  14. LOL! I don't even have old age to blame yet!!
  15. Irish - This gives me hope. Yeah, that seems a little over protective, doesn't it?!?! HAHAHA Brandiwine, I did this today. True story!! You all are cracking me up with your stories. Makes me feel more "normal" too!! LOL
  16. Literlly lol'd at several of those. Absolutely need the laughs today. Thanks a bunch!!! If I can remember to do it, I'm gonna keep a log of these goofy things to tell my future grandchildren....assuming I can remember their names. Ha!
  17. "What we say to my 3-year old is that wheat makes mommy sick, and it's not something that vitamins or medicine can make better; wheat will just make me sick for many, many days, so mommy doesn't eat wheat." Going to remember this, my son loves sharing his snacks with mom & dad, it will be easier to say no w/o breaking his little heart by telling him...
  18. In the face of a "you either laugh or cry" situation, I prefer to laugh. I've been laughing at myself a lot lately. So, here's my Monday morning edition of "You know your brain is foggy when:" *While washing your hair you suddenly realize you just put shaving cream in your hair...laughed it off, and the promptly started prepping legs to shave with...
  19. "OK, that is helpful. Thank you. I'm actually really annoyed that my doctor didn't have me do the testing. I saw her 5 days after starting a gluten-free diet, and told her it was helping already. She should have had me do the testing right away. Now I'm going to have to go through hell if I get tested. i seriously feel like death for 2-3 days after a teeny...
  20. Some mornings I do, I think it depends on what I ate in the afternoon and dinner.
  21. Hahahahaha!! Right now, mine would read: "Warning: atomic fart zone"
  22. "Tough times don't last. Tough people do. Hang in there, hon. We're here for you." You are so right, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Most important truth. This board has been such a blessing to me, I am lucky that my husband is supportive (albeit clueless), but there is NO sub for the support/advice/shoulder of those who have...
  23. " always remember... when life gets too hard to stand, kneel". AMEN a 1000x to that!!!
  24. "I know it is horrible to think you might go through this and not get a diagnosis, but even if that does happen, there may be a silver lining (though you might not think so right now...). Your reaction to eating gluten is evidence to doctors. I wrote down my symptoms and my GI used it for a diagnosis of non celiac gluten intolerance. Secondly, you may well...
