  1. Thanks, Irish. And lol at the "kick him somewhere he would have noticed. I'm guessing you meant his shin.
  2. I have a very similar sounding rash, except mine is between my shoulders/nape of neck/behind and in my ears. Not sure what it is either though...
  3. Wow can't believe how well that went. I think. Lol GI was on the up & up w/current Celiac/NCGS research, and immediately started talking about scheduling an endoscopy/biopsy (such a relief to me as I was very nervous about being brushed off). Apparently, my PCP was incorrect about my blood tests, or I misunderstood her interpretation. The only...
  4. Wonderful testimony. Gives me hope!
  5. Well, so long as I have something to blame it on.
  6. Hilarious!!! What age does this sort of thing come on?? I act like this already, and I'm not even 40. Hahahaha
  7. Mmm chocolate. Now THAT'S my definition of emergency food! :)
  8. Thanks for the great info and ideas! I just remembered I have a whole chicken in my deep freeze that could be roasted as you suggested. Think it would work in the crockpot? Grilled veggies would be great to, although I just realized we will need to replace the grill grates..pretty sure there has been gluten filled spices on it.
  9. Lovely, simple and I already have a small food processor. Thank you!!
  10. Thanks everyone!! I can't tell you how grateful I am for this site...having support from people who really know this hell is invaluable. I woke up feeling more positive this morning. Heard a few songs on the radio on the way to work that were encouraging, and a reminder that I'm not alone and foresaken, there is amazing support here and He is always...
  11. Ps please excuse the typos and grammar errors. On my phone...and frankly scarlet I don't give a da*$.
  12. Please excuse my pity party but its either post on this website full of prople who get it or run screaming through the neighborhood and get locked in the looney bin. I've had about all I can take of this gluten challenge. Admittedly I've let of go too far (eating too much gluten), partly because I'm desperate for confidence in a diagnosis (+ of -, idont...
  13. I always have these on hand: nut butter (w/apples or just straight off the spoon), handful of almonds/walnuts/pecans, corn chips with guacamole (I should really own stock in the "Wholly Guacamole" brand!), baby carrots, bell pepper slices, eggs, berries & bananas. My purse/car is stocked with Larabars, just in case and I almost always have a banana in...
  14. Would u happen to have a recipe for the pesto?? I'm "paranoid" too, and always cover my food when I reheat at work. Lol I usually stick w/ salads in the summer (to avoid the microwave all together), but am thinking I better avoid raw spinach/romain for awhile. :/
  15. Great idea, Bartfull! I'm not a fan of the twigs, either.
  16. I agree with the above! If your gut (pun intented) is telling you there is something wrong, I say believe it. Can you see a different Dr for a second opinion? Maybe check with family/friends/co-workers who have a good Dr and get a referral?? Big hugs to you sweetie.
  17. p.s. any recommendations for making chicken taste good in a safe way?? homemade sauce, herbs, etc that would be ok??
  18. I’m a mess today *shakes angry fist a gluten* and decided planning for the aftermath of this gluten challenge would be a positive coping mechanism (vs. screaming, kicking, and/or cursing). I’d really like your suggestions/advice on my recovery food plan. First couple days I’m going to focus on liquids…I’m thinking smooties, broth soup, maybe so...
  19. Only think about the things you can control right now. Hugs honey. It will be ok, and you can work out the details AFTER this passes. ((HUGS))
  20. TAKE 10 Looooooong Sloooooow DEEP BREATHS. Keep taking slow, deep breaths, and focus on something that calms you; pet a dog, listen to music, etc.
  21. I go back and forth everyday...one minute thinking, "gluten is absolutely, without a doubt, 100%, poison to my system," and then an hour later, I'm thinking, "it's all in my head, I'm making things out worse than they are..." Blah blah blah blah blah. Ive always been a "innocent until proven guilty" kinda girl, so maybe this is my brain giving gluten the...
  22. ^^ Bahahaha! Spent more than an hour working on my grocery list, managed to remember to actually bring it to the store, STILL forgot to buy 3 things, that were ON THE LIST. I wasn't even feeling that foggy today! Lol
