  8. so a quick history...my one year old was failure to thrive her pedi sent her for a blood panel which was positive...only TTG IgG was positive at 16 (anything over 9 pos) she had a neg biopsy, when I asked the GI why her blood work would be pos and that neg he said well her blood was only slightly pos but to go gluten free for 3 months and come back for a...
  9. First congrats on the baby!!!! Im waiting to get tested myself but my one year old had a positive and it was only at 16...she went through the biopsy it was neg...her GI said go gluten free and see if symptoms improve...So my point is we basically did the biopsy and still got the diagnose to go gluten free regardless of the results weathe rit was pos or neg...
  10. My one year old had a positive IgG test it was 16 (anything over 9 pos) she had a neg biopsy last week and the drs said go gluten free and come back in 3 months...I asked if that ment she had celiacs and they just said we don't know its hard to say since she only had a slight positive...what else could cause her to have elevated Igg if its not celiacs?
  11. My one year old had a pos blood test only IgG was positive..her IgA levels were normal. Her IgG was a 19 (anything over 9 pos) she also had a whole mess of thing in her blood work that were high/low...she had her biopsy and its pretty normal?! Dr said he saw some spots but it wasn't enough to diagnose celiacs, but that we should go gluten free!? Im confused...
  12. Hi Sorry sorry about your baby my one year old just had an endo Tuesday...her GI said on kids young you cant really see damage and that if their is damage its microscopic..so even before she went back he told us that and he said everything looked fine after just like he expected...she had a pos blood test so we did the endo to find out for sure...good luck...
  13. Her Dr called me back he doesn't seem to think its related to the procedure its self but maybe she had a bit for a nasty reaction to the medication they gave to to go to sleep..we will monitor it and call back if it gets worse ect..

  16. My one year old had her biopsy yesterday..she was pretty sleepy most of the day..you could tell her throat was sore since her cry was hoarse sounding...last night you could hear her breathing it didn't sound like she was having trouble but it was loud breathing..this morning she woke up covered in very watery stool..it was all over..and she is coughing quite...
  17. Anyone else have a child have a biopsy? Im pretty nervous to have my baby sedated! Her IgG was pos and her IgA was normal...so im confused and a bit nervous about weather or not they will find anything! I hope im doing the right thing by going through with this? What are the chance she has celiacs with only the ttg IgG being positive?
  18. Hi again! I know we have been talking but wanted to comment after seeing the results! My daughters is about the same positive TGG-IGG how her dr worded it was they look at these like pregnancy test..a positive is a positive no matter how small and requires further investigating. Good Luck again! (hugs)

  22. We had the GI apt yesterday for our one year old...she had a pos IgG and a neg IgA I was under the impression that a positive was a positive and ment celiacs but he said he wasn't confident yet that she had celiacs since the blood test was was 50/50..her IgG was 16.1 which he said wasn't too high but high for a baby who just started eating solids 3 months...
  23. HI! So the GI said he wasn't 100 percent convinced she has celiacs..because only her IgG test was pos and her IgA was normal...I thought a positive was a positive? Idk! Shes scheduled for a biopsy on Tuesday...he also said her blood work results weren't awful at all and I shouldn't be too worried...if he said he wasn't convinced she had celiacs..why would...
