  2. My baby had her GI apt moved up from the 3rd to today after the dr reviewed her test results! Im soooo nervous..not sure what to expect at all! Any important questions I should ask? shes going because her IgG test was positive! If they want to do a biopsy do they do that the same day? or schedule for another?
  3. yes! Sometimes you just got to keep pushing exp when a baby who cant communicate whats wrong is crying out!

I put yet another call in this morning...talked to a really sweet nurse told her I would take her to the ER tonight or switch to gluten free myself because I cant bear to see my baby screaming in pain all night long again..not sure if her stomach hurts or what it is..its scary and frustrating..she was super nice and promised the dr would...
  6. My one year old had a positive IgG and a neg IgA...what is the difference...and do both have to be pos for celiacs? Some one said a pos IgG means intestine damage?!? Her positive test was a 16.1 (anything over 9 pos) curious as to what other peoples results were and if this is considered high? Thank you!
  7. Yes the tTG was a different panel...her IgG was positive and her IgA was neg..someone said that would mean she is in fact celiac with intestinal damage?!?

So My one year old is waiting to see the GI she had some blood work done and her IgG was positive..I received a copy of her blood work and some of the results were alarming..her pedi said not to be concerned since it could all be from the celiacs, if that's what she has. I don't know if I should believe since every question I have he awnsers with Im not to...
  10. Id like to know this also! Our one year old had a positive IGG and neg IGA...we are currently waiting to see the GI and her pediatrician wasn't too helpful with my questions! Did you get a referral to a GI? sorry I wasn't helpful..just letting you know your not alone!
  11. During my research (our one yr old was just diagnosed) I came across bio card at home testing...any good? Any one ever used it? I plan on getting tested by my Dr but was just very curious about this??
  12. Thank you everyone!! She goes for her weight check today..nervous I hope she has gained some weight! If not her pedi will try and push up her GI apt which isn't until July 3rd its refreshing to read your stories and know we aren't alone in all of this! Im also going to push the pedi orders tests for us all today because we will all be going gluten free after...

Thank you so much everyone Im gathering a list of questions to bring with me to the appt...Im happy this is being caught so early in her life so it wont be so hard on :/ Im breastfeeding still so I also have to go gluten free (after the test) so im hoping its not going to be too hard either...thank you all so much

Hi So my one year old had a pos blood test (16 anything over 6 is pos) Her dr said its actually unusual for a baby to get a pos..im curious if anyone knows why..I should have asked but was in a state of shock so questions weren't coming to mind at the time. They are strongly recommending doing a biopsy...we have another apt before then so I will ask more...

My one year old was just diagnosed with celiacs...even though I don't have it im still breastfeeding so went gluten free also...I can tell you for a good 3 days I felt awful..my joints hurt, my stomach hurt I had head aches...but I now feel wonderful...I think it judt takes a bit for you rbody to rid the toxins and such..but as always call your Dr with concerns...
  16. So my one year old is waiting to be seen by a GI (july 3rd apt) her blood work tested + for celiac. She was marked failure to thrive for not gaining any weight and is the size of a 6 month old. Everything she eats pretty much goes right through her but this morning she woke up and has had some different and alarming BMs they are runny and yellow/lime greenish...

My one yr old had a pos blood work result and cant even be seen by a GI until july 3rd so I have to keep feeding her stuff that makes her sick Good luck to you guys...keep your chin up..not sure where you are...
  18. She cant be seen until July 3rd just got the call!! I cant seem to find any other pedi gastro in my area her pediatrician said he wanted her to be seen right away and then Albany med calls me with this date??!? 3 WEEKS away! ehhhh
  19. hi So alittle history my daughter starting falling off the charts at about 6 months and at a year is the same size she was 6 months ago, barely doubling her birth weight...her IgG came back high at 16 (anything over 9 pos) and her IGA was neg at 1.2 (anything under 4 neg) The rest of her blood work also showed she was anemic, low iron, he rliver enzymes were...
  20. Thanks everyone!! I was just confuded since the IgG test was positive and her IGA was positive! They still are saying have her eat gluten untll we see the specialist it just so sucks that I have to keep feeding her whats making her sick
