  1. Where you from in Canada? I grew up in Prince George BC, live in NJ now since I fell in love with a fireman here. So far I've had 2 blood tests come back positive for Celiac (one in 2004 and one in 2005) but my endoscopy and colonoscopy came back normal. Only been put on gluten-free since September 2005 after years and years of being sick so I have tons to...
  2. You sound like me. It started out a burning /hot sensation and then went rashy. I've had a lot of problems with laundry soap when I was growing up too. And my dryer sheets have to me dye/perfume free or they make me itch. What creams do you use? Before I was diagnose I was using healing garden but they won't respond on the gluten topic.....since they did...
  3. Ok so I wrote Burts Bees and they sent me their Gluten Free List. I heard about the company because it has popped up from time to time on this board and I know some other Celiac's use it. I went out and bought their Milk And Honey Body cream (it is on their gluten-free list and I thought it would be ok because I have never had a problem with milk before)...
  4. Ya They Are Yummy! Bridget
  5. I eat the Enviro Kids Koala Crisp and never had a problem. I love them!
  6. I thought you had to watch out for Nutagina (says on Delphi List) because the Swiss have dif standerds as to "Gluten Free?"
  7. I'm glad I'm not the only one who made a Boo Boo at Halloween. My tummy is still sore. On the gluten list it had Newman's Own Organic dark chocolate sweet bars...believe me, the list was wrong and I should not have trusted it so much because when I went back and read the ingediance...for sur there was gluten in it. I'm a moron!
  8. Ok I'll check it out at my local Barnes and Noble, I just got my own copy of the "Gluten Free Bible" there.
  9. I was reading the book "A Personal Touch With Celiac Disease" and in one of the stories the lady mentioned using Viactiv. I inquired about it and my pharmisist said they were not gluten-free. I emailed viactiv about their calcium and multi vitamin chews; they never emailed me back but instead snail mailed me a t-shirt, and some coupons but never answered...
  10. Thanks that helps. I started out in all this with so much misinformation from my former nutrishionist and other uneducated sourced that I ended up so confused and now I'm just trying to sort through it all, forget the wrong stuff, and just get it all straight. I'm really confused and you all could never under stand how deeply I appreciate all your help! Hugs...
  11. I found it. Thanks I'll check them out too. My name is Bridget by the way...another user already used my name.
  12. Your a life saver. I can not thank you enough. The tylenol thing I think I read on another site and had some bad times with no tylenol. I assume the ones with the gel caps are off limits wouldn't they be? Someimes I don't think my entire body (5 feet tall) is big enough for all this info I'm learning...LOL THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
  13. I was using Biosilk too and contacted them a few weeks ago. The response was that "If our product contains gluten it will be stated as wheat in the ingrediants or under the name Triticum Vulgaris Gluten or Triticum Vulgaris Germ Oil". So on the most part...ya it's got gluten. I had to give up mine and still can't find a good hair care product.
  14. I'm newly diagnosed as Celiac in the last couple months and I'm, on the most part, getting the hang of the whole thing; even contacted 2 of my favorite companies and found out that "Clean and Clear" is gluten-free as well as the "Healing Garden Mint Therapy" bath and body products is gluten-free (not sure about the rest of their products. I've learned alot...
