  3. thanks for all the info and support! I did start the gluten free diet the end of April when my blood results came back positive. it was hard at first but I think I got the hang of it, its been hard going back to eating gluten again. I realize how much better I feel off of it already. My doctor explained that he takes a bunch from different areas for that...

  5. I'm pretty new to this as well, I have discovered Larabars, the ones without chocolate chips are vegan according to their website, I like to get these when they are on sale for $1 each and keep them in. Some have more sugar then others, but they are great in an emergency!
  6. hi all, my bloodwork came back positive for celiac twice now, my gastro says he is 97% sure but the "golden standard" of diagnosis is through an endoscopy, gluten doesn't make me feel sick right away, I apparently do not absorb iron though, but between by blood work coming back positive and my one liver enzyme elevated he said it all fits, I guess I am going...
  7. I tried 2 types of Gluten-free pasta so far, the quinoa was a corn/quinoa blend and it was yummy! I tried the Ronzoni which is a brown rice blend and I was a bloated gassy mess. Sticking with the quinoa/corm. Live and learn I guess.

  10. Thanks! I hope I get use to it, Kaite I see that you had trouble with your iron too....I am anemic and have been going for a few weeks now for iron iv's, did you iron absorption increase with the gluten free diet alone? Hope you don't mind sharing!
  11. Thanks, I will remember hummus tomorrow with my lunch and I think I will hard boil some eggs too to have with breakfast. I just had a KIND bar and some cheese I feel better now lol Glad to know I'm not alone!!
  12. Hi All, I just found out I have celiac 3 weeks ago and that is why I have had a low iron problem my entire life, anyway...I'M STARVING!!!!!! I have been trying to eat lots of nuts/veggies/fruit. I guess I can try more protein but I'm ravenous and trying not to go overboard on the gluten free products! HELP!
