  1. Do you have a holiday this weekend, Nikki? It may be quaint of us, but it becomes absolutely ridiculous of us if you Brits don't recognise Queen Vicky's birthday. ...But somehow, quite Canadian..... Can't it make you go blind? I think hair begins to grow on your hands, er sumfin'......
  2. Janet.....this calls for some heartless but necessary action. You're gonna have to use one of the capes.... Amanda! You are about to make what perhaps could be judged a big flipover (4500)....Perhaps we get skin irritations at the smaller flipovers once we get high enough, and the fluid deluges at the thousand-marks. Susie, did you hit...
  3. Morning, Sillies! I went walking in a big, overgrown expanse of field near our house last night, and there is an active train track at one end. Trains rarely come by - - it's usually at night and we'll hear it's long, plaintive whistle (there is nothing like that sound) and the engine rumbling quietly....Anyways, last night I heard it coming in the distance...
  4. Lisa!! You were named after a Playboy Centrefold Girl?! Wow...what a claim to fame!!
  5. Every holiday up here is a drinking holiday! The grandest of plans, to be sure..... We celebrate Queen Victoria's birthday on the third Monday In May, and it makes up a three-day weekend. We call our cases of 24 beers a two-four, and this weekend is May two-four, even though there is no connection to beer, and it rarely falls on May 24th. Yeah I know...
  6. Congratulations, Alex!!!! How'd your first dance go?
  7. Or the Scandanavian LOL... SverjnoLvvarOrrvjjerslgjvervL Be afraid, Ptaoughmn......be VERY afraid.......
  8. when ya got everything else, you cannot go wrong wif a standard poodle... It was difficult for him to do? Was he, like, across the room from the pot? Of course you are, Nikki! And of course he is.....
  9. No! Upon researching, I discovered that the Welsh spelling is this: Wwpfftaougwhwwymymnn. Yep. Now ya just gotta git 'er done......Unburden thyself toxically! Easy for ME to say, eh? I think you're quite right, Susie, to consider another antidepressant. You have nothing to lose, and so incredibly much to gain...
  10. I'll bet that Dippity-Doo is also a must-have for our accommodating dominatrix who seems driven to corner the market.... Hey, if it can hold short hair in place like we saw, hell, imagine what else it could do?
  11. Ptaougthmnhmn...sorry about this rough patch for you. How frustrating things must be to have a day or two of almost-normalness, and you want to dare the thought that you might be on a roll, and then have a crappy run afterward. One lives in hope...... Um.......My first suspicion, and to suggest it may cause you to roll yer eyes as it's something you...
  12. Jeez, Amanda....Thank goodness you've got the brain this week!! Jack's next query is most interesting: He wants to know who the most interesting character is when you google your own name. He came up with a couple of lawyers, a cardiologist in London, but the most memorable for him is his namesake who is a professional (it is a profession - - who knew...
  13. I absolutely am, as well. My right eye is very dominant. Much like Gus is very dominant. Hmmm....an interesting parallel of which I cannot spin anything, phunny or otherwise.... Nikki! I ponder these things, as well. You can get a pretty good idea, usually, by taking a good long look at both of your parents. I believe I am, at least physically...
  14. Morning, Sillies! Elsie is sitting with her beautiful white head on my lap. Gus is lying across the room, staring quietly at her, still, I'm sure, trying to figure out what in hell's going on.... A couple of accidents yesterday (three)...so our girl is not completely housebroken yet. I think that she spent so much time in a crate before that she...
  15. Where is Nikki to explain this entertaining Britishism? Oh...she'd be in bed, as it is 2:25 am across the pond. For some quaint reason particular to UK English, the shortened form of "mathematics" is pluralized - - "maths". Actually, it makes more sense that way, really..."mathematics" is plural....you never hear about studying one mathematic, now, do...
  16. I'm something of an anomoly, and I fit no pat formula - - HATE maths, poker-straight hair, southpaw. How about Alex? Yes, we don't know about our founding King, either... They gotta be weirdo lefties...... Ptaouehauomnhmn and Susie! Hope your yucky days disappear. That's it - - no more permitted!
  17. Sigh.....me, too, unfortunately...... Darn right...as we lefties struggle through the remainder of our lives battling with YOUR can openers, scissors, land phones.....
  18. Poor Ez! You've painted this picture so well, Sarah....I can see him so clearly.... This guy made the dreaded test pain-free, and speedy as hell.....quite a magic man. He should be given a key to the city, methinks. And I didn't even pull out the sparkles! Don't have any in the house, as my kids seem to have outgrown them, and all the...
  19. Wow, what a superb pap smear!! As paps go, it was among the top five for me. I'm sure you've been all waiting with bated breath for a report: My Doc is relatively new to me, but not to the businesss...I'd say he's sixty, anyway. As I allowed my legs to fall naturally apart (man, I've been doin' this so long, it happens quite easily now) my fine doc...
  20. All right, everyone, I am home early to head off to my.....drumroll, please.... YEARLY PHYSICAL. And we all know what THAT means...... pap smear. Why is this still a tortuous, archaic task with medieval instruments? Do you have the answer, King Oracle Peter? Do you...
  21. Morning, Amanda et al! Glorious morning, here...bright sun, dew sparkling on our lawn, the second round of tulips bursting forth.... And now TWO dogs staring at me to go walkies.... I am going for a run with them both today on the trails, so we'll see how things go. Elsie had one accident sometime last night - - peed right by Gus's bed (significant...
  22. Oh....all is so GOOD in Sillyville! Julie's gotten onto her treadmill, Patti and Jess are responding positively to their Ednas, Susie's got some chips, Ptaoughmn's haircut no longer finds him hiding under the dining room table.....all good. It would be PERFECT if King Peter can tell us that he finished all of his parking lot line-painting...
  23. Should have jammed a big stick in that wine bottle.....one mega-dreamsicle..... Elsie does indeed look like a baby deer. All legs, in every direction.
  24. You know, she has no interest in a bed. So funny.....she stretches out on the hardwood floor, and sighs contentedly. I think she's just so happy to be out of a crate...she was in one all night at her old home, and whenever she was alone in the house. There is absolutely NO need for this...she doesn't chew anything, she is totally house trained.... .....
  25. Ahh! Jess! You've given me the next topic to toss around when my family gets together. I do not believe we've covered TLR signalling pathways. Of course, it's TMI constantly. And we often signal - - like, for yet another wine refill. Actually, we still haven't decided how on earth glue keeps from sticking to the inside of that bottle.....is it due...
