  1. I read somewhere that they can biopsy the skin right next to the breakout and determine if it is DH.
  2. I thought that even with negative blood tests, the gold standard was the biopsy?
  3. Thank you, everyone... I really appreciate your suggestions and will make an appt. with a gastroenterologist. It's weird... With my dogs I don't hesitate to push back with the vets if I am not comfortable with the info they are giving me! But with me... Another story altogether!
  4. Long time IBS sufferer here... Dairy can be a huge trigger. Also, nuts cause me to have the same issues you describe. Apples have pectin, a soluble fiber, so it's no surprise that you do fine with them. You just have to learn your trigger foods, then avoid them.

I am a 49 year old female (soon to be 50!) and I have had IBS-D since about 16 or so, fibromyalgia for about 20 years, and I'm starting to wonder about chronic fatigue because I just feel perpetually exhausted. I managed pretty well with the IBS for years, avoiding trigger foods like leafy greens and white flour. But for the past several years...
