  1. I did not know regular Rice Krispies had gluten. I don't buy them, but good to know if I decide I want to make treats. The reason I think it might be good is for other family members. My MIL already thinks I am wacky because of the way I cook and eat. But, she also thinks I am getting too thin so if there is a medical reason she might be better about...
  2. That is true. I was at the store last night and some foods that I always thought were safe turned out not to be.
  3. I guess not. I am still learning what to buy and not to buy. There are so many things that I would never think about~ like nuts. At this point, I can't imagine making it through 2-3 months of eating gluten.
  4. I may have to do that. My husband also told me to just bring my own food because she will not like having to be careful of cross contamination. She won't get mad at me but she will get mad that she has to do things different.
  5. I have have to look at that. I haven't tried gluten-free flour with pea or bean flours yet.
  6. I can understand the need to know that I definitely can't have it versus thinking I can't. I am fine without the formal diagnosis. It is going to be tricky with my mother-in-law because she is one for testing everything and she is likely to just believe that it is a choice. My husband thinks that I should not get tested because of having to eat all the gluten...
  7. I have used their shampoo, but have never seen body wash. I will check.
  8. Today was my first post and I know what you mean about rewriting. My first post seemed really bad. So, I completely changed it. It is hard to completely chnge how you eat and be sad that you can't eat that way anymore. I try not to think about it.
  9. I need to gain about 10 pounds. A few years ago, I was overweight. I got down to what I wanted, but now I lost even more and I can't gain it. I eat more than I really want, but it is notworking. I did start taking digestive enzymes and hopefully that will help. My gut is pretty messed up so it might take awhile.
  10. I did not think about it from an insurance point of view. That is a good point. Thanks.
  11. Hello, I have been looking around the site and trying to get a sense of everything. I have at least gluten sensitivities, but not sure if it is celiac. Both run in my family. I would like to know for sure if it is celiac, but I don't tink I could handle the gluten challenge. I am not so sure if it really matters. Maybe to other people, but I know that...
  12. I am new to this. I Have been learning a lot and just found out about the gluten challenge. Iam not going to do it. I know I have a problem with gluten and both celiac and gluten intolerance run in my family. But, just eating corn bread made with spelt was horrible and that was one meal. I can't live that way for a couple months. I would like to know if...
