  1. You should test for the Epstein Barr virus (virus that causes mono). That causes pretty bad tiredness and that can cause your lymph nodes and tonsils to become inflamed. I was/am extremely tired and and was just told the virus is currently active in by body. I don't have the severe symptoms of swollen lymph nodes or fever (they say some people react mildly...
  2. Lol: Thanks for your response. I guess it's something to think about since glutem intolerance has a lot of the same symptoms as Celiac. Unfortunately my symptoms are are over the place and honestly I really think it's Celiac only bc of my weight loss and pretty bad immune system. Last year I got so many infections and now I have Epstein's Barr. /: I'm glad...
  3. MomBTired: Wow your son seems to have a lot of issues which who knows if they were caused by a delayed diagnosis! /: That's what I'm afraid of. My problems have gotten worse. They started to be gastrointestinal and now they're neurological. I now have a virus which I know is bc of my low immune system. Hopefully your son now is doing better. I plan on seeing...
  4. I'm just trying to rest so that hopefully I kick this virus' butt soon!

  6. Thanks for your positive vibes!!! And know I'm sending some your way too! (: I'm trying to stay positive through allll this tiredness that I'm feeling at the moment!!!
  7. RT @50NerdsofGrey: 'You're so hot!' she cried. 'Actually I'm 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, which is well within the normal body temperature para…

  8. You guys... this really means a lot to me. I usually eat a banana a day, if not half. But I will definitely eat at least one a day now! I knew bananas were good but didn't know they we that good for the digestive system. And I'm juicing carrots, an apple, and celery in the mornings. At least that way I'll get nutrients somehow especially since now I have...
  9. RT @Dr_V_tweet: Nothing can be brought out in you that isn't there already.

  10. Oh and sorry just to clear something up, I have so many symptoms that the ones that bother me the most are neurological. I can deal with the frequent bowel movements and the nausea along with the GERD but my worst most debilitating symptoms are neuro related. (And they just started) my tummy issues were the first ones to show up. Just wanted to clear my quetsion...
  11. Bartful: Yes! You could be absolutely right! There's still a lot they have to learn about NCGS! But I think now they're finally taking it seriously and maybe just maybe they'll try to come up with a diagnostic test for it.
  12. Seeking2012: Wow that's a lot of good info and you've given me a lot to think about. Well what if when they took the biopsies they only took 3? And at the time I didn't have any weight loss? I guess I'd just like to rule out one thing at a time. I've had thyroid tests twice this year. So I don't have a thyroid problem. My dad just told me that he feels better...
  13. Sorry to intrude but I have one question. Is it true that I have to have a seperate sponge for dishwashing my plates?? Bc I've been eating at my bf's and be doesn't have a dishwasher.... and we wash the plates by hand...
  14. LookingForAnswers15: I'm suffering from a lot of muscle twitches too. And hot flashes and muscle cramps./: Honestly, this is all very new to me and I'm a bit overwhelmed but thankfully this site had helped me so much. I keep questioning whether I could or not have Celiac but I have the typical signs. I can't understand why my blood work is negative. ); yet...
  15. Nothing worse than not being heard.

  16. Hello! Yes, I've read about other that genes might be related to Celiac but the most common are the ones you mention. I need to know if Celiac is a possibility so I need to get tested somehow. That makes a lot of sense! I just wanted to see if maybe that triggered my problems to try to pin point when my problems started. My dad isn't anemic but his...
  17. RT @CubanCode: Tell a Cuban girl she has attitude and then watch her start a fight with you on her not having an attitude while she's givin…

  18. I didn't know where to post this so sorry if it's in the wrong thread. So my new doctor is actually a good doctor and has ran a lot of tests and I've only seen him twice. Well my igm was slightly elevated. So he told me that in people my age what's most common is the Epstein Barr Virus. So I get a call from the office and he wants to see me in person. That...
  19. Celiac is a pain but it's easily fixed with a very strict diet. And you have to be so freaking careful but it's better than taking pills.

  20. You need 6-11 samples on the biopsy. My doctor only took 3.

  21. I was like wtf but I haven't had any gluten!!!!!! And that's what makes me have mood swings like a crazy person .

  22. Oh and one more thing, you reallyyyyy shouldn't be sharing pans with your family! Try to at least buy one pan for yourself and clean out a top cabinet shelf for yourself too. That's what I did. Maybe it's a simple fix like that. I've read small cross contamination occurrences add up with time and will make you sick again. Celiacs have to be very careful.
  23. Cristiana: It's clear I've been reading too much on these forums. lol But yes have your antibodies checked. Since I'm not diagnosed I wasn't taking cross contamination very seriously. Badddd idea. I got glutened last weekend bc of it. I was feeling way better and then I start getting sick. Now I'm feeling crappy with insomnia and I realize it's these stupid...
  24. Laura: Hearing about others suffered as I am makes me feel so much better (not bc you suffered but bc it gives me HOPE!) gluten has wrecked havoc on my body and has caused me to take so many antibiotics that I wish I knew the cause so that maybe my problem wouldn't be so bad now. Not that it's been super long (I know a lot of Celiacs suffer for over 8years...
  25. I am soooooooooooooooooo hungry!!!!!
