  1. I am far from qualified to answer this. But........if he felt better then I would stick with the diet. I can't answer for how the biopsy will come back. I am so sorry that you have to go through all of this with such a young child. Good luck, and keep us posted.
  2. I've looked for medication lists, but being new to this I can't seem to find it. I don't know if that means it has gluten or what. Thanks for any info.
  3. I'm sending my Enterolab pack back today but I can't wait any longer. Could anyone point me in the right direction for at least the basics. 1. Is there a list anywhere with product information i.e. shampoo, makeup, etc. that I don't have to pay for? 2. How careful do I need to be when preparing my son/husbands gluten foods, do I need to wear gloves...
  4. My kit just came! I'm going to send it back in tomorrow. I will be glad to know for sure. That way there won't be any wondering. I'll let you know when I get the results. How long does it normally take? They say three weeks but I didn't know if they were just giving themselves extra time.
  5. I live in central Ohio. I'm about 40 min east of Columbus. I haven't been diagnosed yet. I'm waiting on my enterolab kit. I've had negative experience with my GI, so I'm taking matters into my own hands.
  6. I have an appointment with supposedly the best specialist in town. It's not until the end of March though. I need that piece of paper because of my mother in law. I know that sounds stupid but she is conviced that there isn't anything really all that wrong with me. She just doesn't get it. I love her dearly. I lost my parents when I was 14, so when...
  7. I had an awful experience this week. My GI and I were discussing my biopsy results. She saw flattening when she did the endo but my biopsies were inconclusive. I asked her if she could tell me w/o a doubt that I don't have celiac. She said no, but I think it's IBS. I expressed my concern about all of the issues that can result from untreated Celiac...
  8. I am very excited about my enterolab test. I need an answer. I am unfortunately one of those people that need a diagonisis. Mostly because it will help me w/ people who don't think it's necessary for me to go Gluten Free. I'm currently eating a normal diet. The diarrhea isn't too bad right now at all. I think that has more to do with the Librax and...
  9. Prior to my testing I was living on Cream of Rice for about three weeks. I doubt that it would have made my numbers this low, but wanted to get others opinions. Plus I was wondering if it would still be possible to be gluten sensitive or gluten intolerant without these tests being positive. Antigliadin Abs, IgA <1.............positive is >4 u/ml...
  10. I have also had a postive ANA for about the past three years and they can't find the cause. They ruled out lupus and other "obvious" things so who knows. I just talked to the nurse and I can pick up my labs on Monday, so I'll post them then. I'm in Ohio.
  11. I have no idea. I would have thought that with her seeing flattening that she would at least tell me to try the gluten-free diet. She just said pretty good. That's when I brought up Enterolab, and she seemed to want me out of there then.
  12. Well I got the "Biopsy is the gold standard" speech. She said she saw flattening but that my biopsy looked "pretty good". I don't know if I am gluten sensitive or what. Maybe be it is IBS, I just know that I followed the Heather Vanvorous IBS diet and I still felt sick. I'm sending out for my enterolab kit today, I'm going to do the full panel thing. ...
  13. I have a GI doc. appt tomorrow. She refered to the biopsy as the "gold standard" and mine was inconclusive. I printed out Dr. Fine's speech, but it's 8 pgs. Is there anything better for me to take to help her understand that I could just be gluten intolerant or not have been sick long enough? Any info would be much appreciated.
  14. I'm sorry to be asking so much. I'm having trouble with my doctors as far as getting in. Before you went gluten free did you feel sick all of the time or just when you ate gluten? I never know what is going to bother me. It is to the point where my stomach hurts all of the time. I'm just really depressed right now I would just love to know what is...
  15. I was wondering if it is worth the $350.00. I have had diarrhea for 6 months, gas and pain about two inches above my navel. My blood tests were negative, and my biopsy was inconclusive. I am currently on Librax which is the only thing that has given me any relief. I am bipolar though and I really don't want to stay on it any longer than necessary...
  16. The Bentyl didn't work at all. I found some relief with the Nulev but not enough to help me function. The Librax has made a huge difference in my pain. I still get bloated and gassy but the pain is much more faint. I am assuming that I am celiac at this point but since my biopsies are going to be back in about 3-4 days I thought I would try to wait...
  17. I'm assuming she didn't tell me to start the diet since I will have my biopsy back by tuesday. I was wondering if the "flattening" associated with celiac is noticeable to the naked eye? The librax seems to be helping the pain some so that is a very good thing.
  18. I have had ongoing diarrhea for six months. I have mild to moderate (sometimes a little more severe) pain above my navel. I had my gallbladder out 8 yrs. ago. I have tried Questran to see if it was my gallbladder. I have tried flagyl and had a stool o & p. I have tried an IBS diet and I still felt awful. The only time I felt even a little relief...
