    Hi Im still alittle confused I didnt say celiac is an allergy I said dermatitis is, I also didnt say it was from food anyways my son who is 11 , says his rash is not itchy at all ever. I dont know if its because his sensorys are all out of whack do to the sensory disorder or what. But he insits that its never itchy. Anyone else never itchy

    rachel thanks i just found out at dertologic disease database that IT IS AN ALLERGY TO GLUTEN A PROTEIN FOUND IN WHEAT & OTHER GRAINS. www.aocd.org thanks again

    I want to know is dermititis herpetiformis is always itchy also has anyone ever used mometasone furoate to treat it? Also does anyone ever get they look like boils on buttocks?

    thanks for the input I think we are still going to go ahead he was only gluten free for 2 weeks the 1st 2 in jan hes been eating whatever since. I do appreciate the info. Do you happen to know anything about dermititis herpetiformis? Is it caused by an allergy?

    RACHEL:thank you very much for the quick response. My son is 11 & has aspergers ( high functioning autism) He's been having stomaches since sep we thought it was anexity from school. we did the gluten free det for the 1st 2 weeks of jan. we both felt GREAT!!!!!! & then he got amothing by accident & he broke out with tiny blisters on his face...

    rachel maybe you know the answer to this: so if a colonoscopy is performed can they find out that way also?

    Never thought to ask Dr but when they do blood testing do they check for allergies to foods, or is it strictly for celiac? Also I was kind of suprised to learn , when they do the biopsy its down the throat? I thought they did by a colonoscopy. any info would be great!!!!!!!!

    Is it normal for a dr to do a biopsy & blood test together on a child? Dont they usually do the blood work 1st?Also why would they do a colonoscopy?

    Does anyone get the bloated stomach, sever cramping down low below bellybutton, heartburn & to top it all off when you eat you only eat a couple of bites & your full???

    What is the difference between celiac & gluten intolerance? And do many people also have a problem with candida (yeast). Also does lactose intolerance really improve when being on gluten free diet?

    My son has not been diagnosed yet he actually has appointment on wed. he also has aspergers. He has stomaches, heartburn , doenst want to sleep & mood swings that go from 0 to 60. Very whiny & a rash that looks like hell on his face, its not itchy but looks like mini blisters it dries up & starts all over as soon as he eats somthing did the gluten...
