I had my partial thyroidectomy Oct 14th. Recovery has been slow, extreme fatigue. I just talked to the surgeon's office after waiting since Friday for them to call. I had what they called a papillary micro carcinoma in one of the nodules that was in the side they removed. I am going to see my regular doctor on Thursday to go over all the reports and labs...

Thank you for all the encouragement, thoughts, and prayers. I went to the doc today and I am going to have a partial thyroidectomy on Tuesday Oct. 14th. The right side must come out and he will look at the left and see if the nodules look suspious but he will biopsy them. If it looks like the left side should come out he will do a total one at the same...

I had my fine needle biopsy of my thyroid last Friday. The doctor called today and said that the biopsy showed cancer cells were present. He wants to see me Monday to schedule surgery to remove my thyroid. He said he thinks it is a non agressive type but taking it out will be the best way to find out. Thanks for all the prayers and thoughts and if you...

Some of you may know that we sell gluten free foods in our store. We are a very small business in rural Missouri but I have several dedicated customers. Yesterday I was feeling a little down when one of my families came in whose 4 year old son follows a gluten free diet due to autism. As soon as he came through the doors he burst into a huge smile and...

I tried looking this up but couldn't find out what it means so I thought you all could help me. My thyroid ultrasound showed the following results: Right lobe is largely replaced by a cystic multiseptated nodule measuring 4.1 cm x 3.4 cm, lobe measuring 5.7 x.3.6 x2.6 cm Left lobe contains several heteroechoic solid nodules measuring 1.0 cm each, lobe... -
Thanks for all the kind words and prayers. My bloodwork came back ok, I had a few abnormal reading with my RBC and HCT both were a little high but he wasn't overly concerned at this point. The lump or mass I was feeling in my abdomen is from surgery last year and is probably food or BM moving through the place where they reconnected the intestines. He...

I have a doctor appt. tomorrow and I am a little concerned. Since my surgery a year ago I have done pretty well but in the last few weeks I have started having some old symptoms that led to surgery last year. I have "flutters" in my upper abdomen which is why and where they found the tumors last year. I don't know if I really feel another lump or not....

I will be in Kansas City Missouri in Sept. and have been told that Waldo's pizza is wonderful and their desserts are to die for (not that that appeals to me, lol) and I was wondering if anyone else has ever eaten there. Thanks in advance for any help.

I love Namaste products, especially the choc. cake. I also sell them in our store and on all the family birthday's (for my non-celiac family) they request either the carrot or choc. I also use the pizza crust which my hubby really likes. -
My hubby and I celebrated our 28th anniversary Saturday and we went to the Ivory Grille in Sedalia Missouri. I had called in advance and was told the chef would come out to the table and talk with me and she DID. Our meal was fantastic and not only was the chef knowledgable but so was our server. It was a great experience. I felt special and they didn...

ARCHIVED Kari Out Soy Sauce
jennyj replied to MySuicidalTurtle's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I sell them in my store and carry them with me all the time. It is funny to watch them clear the table when we are done and pick up the package and read it. -
I LOVE the brownie at Outback. The last time we were there they treated me like a queen. Not only did the waitress make sure my entire dinner was great but when she brought out my brownie the manager came with her and sat it down before me. They checked on me several times and even offeres to box up the rest. It was wonderful.

ARCHIVED How Clean Did/do You Make Your Kids Keep Their Room?
jennyj replied to TrillumHunter's topic in Introduce Yourself / Share Stuff
We have had 7 children live in our house. When there were 6 of them it was a chore, lol, trying to keep a picked up house. I too wanted a clear path in case of an emergency and wasn't overly concerned if it was a little messy but when the rooms got to a point it was too much I would ask them to pick up their room. The second time I had to ask they would... -
