  1. Living in Missouri you kind of get used to deer on the roadways and learn at certain times of the year they are more prominent. I hated to drive home from work when I had to work a late shift for that very reason. One night I had only gone a few miles from work when I cam around a curve by a lake when I saw a huge buck. I stopped in the middle of the road...
  2. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I love and miss banana bread. Thanks for sharing.

    ARCHIVED Dietician Search

Just a side note funny, the hospital dietician at our local hospital refers patients to me to ask questions. I tell them I am no expert but I can answer their questions from a personal viewpoint.
  4. I have only been there once but it was wonderful. I had a crispy, spicy chicken (not sure of what it was called) gluten-free lettuce wraps, white rice, and tea. They were so good to me and let me know what I could and couldn't put on it.
  5. I eat at Chevy's frequently and always get the same thing. I get a chicken enchilada, rice, and a pork tamale. Most of their dinners come with a corn tomalito (?) and it it not gluten free. They have always been very careful with my meals and I have never gotten ill. The manager even was the one who came to my table and told me they would not put the...
  6. Some companies just do not get it. We did not choose to have allergies or intolerances and we don't want to be a pain in the butt when we ask questions about their products , we just do not want to get sick. You would think that they could be honest about their foods. I called a resturaunt once to see if they could accomodate my special dietary needs and...
  7. You are in my prayers. God bless.
  8. I am not sure about Raisinettes but the choc. covered raisins we sell at our store do have an allergy warning may contain wheat so I steer clear.
  9. My doctor wants me to maintain the weight I am at now, (although it is not where I want to be) and whenever I go in he wants me to put a few pounds on. I try to eat more calories but it doesn't seem to work. I lost almost 50 lbs from the time I was got really sick and was diagnosed until now. I wish I had an answer for you. If you try something that works...
  10. I posted that I had eaten there, and when I told my daughter who lives near KC she reminded me that when we ate there I had picked out a sauce for mine that I thought was fine and when I told them mine was gluten free the people there told me it wasn't safe and that I could have one of three sauces. I was so impressed that they looked out for me.
  11. Congrats on two years. I have enjoyed reading your comments and have appreciated your responses to my past posts.
  12. Just yesterday I told one of my employees that I was SOOOO craving chicken and dumplings but did not know how to make them. She said that that sounded so good and preceeded to tell me how she was going to go home and make a big pot of them and thanked me for the idea. I politely smiled and walked away. ARRGGGGHHHH. But today I showed her the recipe from...
  13. I ate there a few months ago. There was 7 of us in our group and when they took mine to the back to fix it everyone was jealous that I got mine before they all did, lol. It was one of the times I felt like a queen.
  14. I absolutely agree. I love these so much. I like to nuke them and put honey on them. The first time I tried one was at our store and I cried. I sell them now and whenever someone comes in to look at the foods I sell I make sure and tell them how great these are.MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
  15. Happy new year to everyone and may God bless all of us with health and happiness. My one resolution (or wish) would be to go this next year without having to be in the hospital. So I guess being as healthy as possible and sticking to what I am doing will help. Thanks for all the support this past year.
  16. She will be in mine.
  17. Thank you for the help. I go to church with the receptionist at his office and will see her so I will ask her. I never really thought too much about the contrast being gluten free, thanks so much for reminding me about that. The reason I had surgery was to remove the damaged part of my intestines. There were several lesions and damage from being undiagnosed...
  18. Dec. 4th is my first regular follow up appt. since having surgery in July. I feel pretty good, considering I have 18 less inches of intestines. I have to set up a CT scan and X ray to make sure everything is healing from the inside. I do have a concern that I would like a few prayers for if you don't mind. I have gained 8 pounds since Oct. and am starting...
  19. I have had 5 of them in the last 3 years. I agree with cruelshoes about afterwards not feeling so cold all the time. I have not had one since my surgery in July but have to go to the doc in Dec for blood work, cat scans, etc to see how it is going. The only side effect I had from the infusion was a little constipation. Good luck.
  20. I went to stay with my daughter agter she had surgery two weeks ago and when she got home I bought some for my lunch and she tried them and liked them, she isn't celiac. She called me a few days ago and said she is hooked on them now.
  21. Thanks for letting us know. I love them but will start checking them out more closely.
  22. Over the last 20 years all of my animals names have started with the letter B. When my 14 year old white cat Berkeley brought home a black kitten 6 months ago I named him BK, black kitty. It gets a few laughs but mostly eye rolls.
  23. Noah, you, and your family our in my prayers.
  24. MMMMMMMMMMMM. Will have to try.
  25. Thank you, thank you so much. I can't wait to try it.
