  2. I use Bob's Red Mill All Purpose Baking Flour, too. It's perfect for me. I add two teaspoons of Xanthan Gum and some baking poweder to make all kinds of quickbreads. I also buy their gluten-free Pancake Mix. I've never had any reaction to it but I've heard some people might if they're also allergic to corn. Bob's has a pretty cool website with tons o recipes...
  3. WOw! that ius some recipe! thanks! Where do you buy your Bob's Red Mill All Purpose Flour? My Health Food store has some of their other products but not that one. Can I use their brown rice or sorghum flour instead, you think?
  4. Christine, Watch out for oats. While the manufacturers may claim they're safe, the USDA allows as much as twenty percent! wheat in oats. I've tride them all and most of them have given me at least D and pains. Just a tip. jeri
  5. Oh man, I went through the same problem as you. I had been eating toast every morning since I was a little kid. After I finally found out that I was celiac and not just crazy, I was so frustrated in the morning without the joy of toasted bread and butter. I've tried some of the ready made breads--Whole Foods Gluten Free Bakehouse makes some wonderful products...
  6. Ick! read the label of that "bread." It may be gluten free but what is in there instead. They use sonething called "Sodium Carboxy Metylcellulose." <--- made from wood fiber? wth is that?

  8. I don't know. I tried their bread baking mix and it just didn't work. Brownie Mixes are pretty simple though, a bunch of cocoa and sugar, xanthan gum, leavening and some alternative flour, so i dont think brownies should be the meter for quality. Bobs red mill bronwies are really amazing, too. I think pamela's has one too. anyway.

  10. Those people who claim to have had reactions to bobs red mill products must have experienced a very rare fluke. I've been eating their gluten-free products regularly for like 5 years and I've never had a reaction at all. Their pancake mix is awesome and their bread mix is really fun to make.
