  1. Yeah... one time the onions were raw, the second they were in a soup I made. I'm wondering if the fact that the soup is so loaded with vegetables that it sort of got things moving.
  2. I've had two instances of loose bowels the last week, and I noticed that the two things that coincided with these incidents were onions and also high fat consumption the day before (good fats, but fats nonetheless). Anyone see anything similar?
  3. Posted this yesterday, but it didn't show up on the forum: 4 Oct 2007 Read Topic Dairy Intolerance Hey... hope everyone is enjoying the fall... my favorite season. Over the course of the last 6 weeks, I've gone dairy free - completely - and have seen the problems I've had with my, well, #2s go away. This is a major buzzkill for me. I don't care about...
  4. Yes... I had similar symptoms. (As long as we're going here... I'll make sure I'm giving you the full picture for accuracy... I posted something similar not too long ago and did not get as many responses as I was hoping for.) My #2s were not liquidy but more like, well, pudding. I had the pain in my sides. What seems to have helped me is getting rid...
  5. Hey... hope everyone is enjoying the fall... my favorite season. Over the course of the last 6 weeks, I've gone dairy free - completely - and have seen the problems I've had with my, well, #2s go away. This is a major effin buzzkill for me. I don't care about milk itself, or even cheese, it's all the other foods - such as pamela's mix - that have helped...
  6. Hello! I've been diagnosed and gluten-free for the last 18 months. Over the course of the last month, I've also gone dairy free. While my bathroom issues have improved (I'm trying not to be graphic on the baking forum!), I'm still trying to get my weight back up since I went gluten-free. I'm almost 20 pounds lighter, even though I'm feeling better ...
  7. Hi, All. I think this might win the "graphic post of the week" award. I am currently having an issue with my BMs. Usually they are normal. However, sometimes they start normal but then they end up somewhere between normal and diarrhea. I have stopped eating dairy to see if it's the issue, and it's gotten a bit better but has not gone away. I...
  8. Do you remember the name of the product you took? Thanks!
  9. Hey... Am I right that Caprilic acid is helpful in getting rid of bad bacteria? If so, does anyone know of a gluten free supplement that has it? I have no other issues other than gluten (ie dairy, casein, etc are fine). Thanks!
  10. I've been on a gluten-free diet for almost a year now, and once in a while still get the brain fog, even when I know I'm only eating whole fresh foods that can't have gluten contamination. Some here have said the brain fog was the last thing to go for them... perhaps as long as two years. I know that it's not what you want to hear, but I just accept the...
  11. Hi. I am a grad student (with celiac disease that is looking for a list of empirical research studies that investigate various aspects of celiac disease. Thanks!
  12. Hey. I think I have a digestive tract problem with too much bad bacteria moving in and generally being a giant pain in the arse. When you take probiotics, do you lose the effect once you stop taking them. Is this a problem that just has to settle itself as my system heals? (I'm gluten-free almost 11 months.) Should I try to get meds from...
  13. Thanks for the help/opinions. I know how you feel about giving meds to kids unnecessarily. Usually we don't, but we're about to have a baby (anytime), and are trying to keep him comfortable as we get ready for her arrival.
  14. Anyone know of a gluten-free cold medicine for a 2 year old? My son has a stuffy nose - We don't like to give him ibuprofen because of rhye fever (sp?). Thanks!
  15. Can you elaborate a little more on "after the first fermentation?" Thanks!
