    Sounds like you have a good combination of results with the two positive results - still, the others are often considered more definate. Your Dr is referring you to a GI specialist. That is good.     Wondering what were your values along with the lab norms etc? From what I read (and I am NOT an expert on this) it seems that the Immunoglobulin A anti-endomysium antibodies, IgA anti-tissue transglutaminase are more conclusive?

    My son has encopresis. He started out with the clay colored stools and then with a cycle of constipation for about 4 days followed by a large bm followed by a couple of days of diahrea.     Boy, I feel so ignorant - I aced nutrition class in college and am an RN but haven't a clue what IgA deficient might mean! I did get my testing done while on wheat etc - in fact being that I am a vegetarian, at the time of the test I was consuming a meat alternative which was made with wheat gluten flour learned how to quick edit here - read up on site...

    Just today, my mother who lives in Canada got her tests back (took 6 wks!) and was positive for Tissue Transglut Antibody! I have tried going gluten free and find only a few differences in how I feel. Once again - the reason for my getting tested was for my son who has had chronic constipation/encopresis since age 2.     My test came back with... tTG-IgA or tissue transglutaminase-IgA (normal) AGA-IgG or Antigliadin IgG (high) AGA-IgA or Antigliadin IGA (normal) Am I supposed do pay any attention to a high IgG? I had one Dr say that I should avoid Gluten while another Dr say that this didn't mean anything and forget about avoiding gluten. Appreciate any comments...

    In regards to the blood tests - the reference range has "Negetive, Equivocal and Positive" Ranges, my son was positive for the Antigliadin test. I asked my husband to also get tested, he was on low side of Equivocal, his father was middle of the negitive. If a person was not reactive to gluten would they register anywhere in these ranges?
