    I had a total thyroidectomy in February and it took about 6 weeks to regulate my thyroid level. I had one dose of synthroid and then they checked the level after about 3 weeks and bumped me up the next dose and that worked.     We never did try the Senokot after reading all the replies. I need some extra guidance on the topic of C. She is dealing with this constantly and causing alot of discomfort for her.     Ensure and Boost are good products but Ensure contains milk and Boost contains casein. We tried the Boost and then found out after getting sick that my daughter has sensitivities to those foods. I will check into the Genisoy protein powder. Since it has "soy" in the name I wonder if it contains soy? Thanks!

    What is psyllium? I have seen it mentioned on this board before but I am not sure what it is. I prefer to use natural methods over any drugs. We have used a food journal and just eliminated the foods that are causing problems but still need alittle extra help until the body is healed. Thank you!
