    I am so sorry you are still feeling bad. Is there any chance that you are still getting gluten? It's so hard to eliminate it and you have to get rid of 100%.     Our daughters first day of kindergarten is tomorrow so we will be on pins and needles for sure.     On the surface you would think they might be ok. They have lots of fresh fruit, meats and vegetables, etc. but I imagine the cross contamination would be a BIG problem. The person preparing your food just made a sandwich for the customer before you....

    Thanks for the tip on this! Our 5 year old starts kindergarten tomorrow so we ordered a batch. It is a little pricy but you get a HUGE amount. There are 8 different colored tubes and each tube would easily equate to 2 or 3 cans of regular playdough. Only bummer is that they are not individually packed.     A minor point of clarification...these are the frozen treats, not the drink. I agree that it is probably a CYA comment by them. They did say that they add no gluten.... I'll give them a call again and see what they say. Thanks! I called back and they said it meets CODEX's definition of Gluten free which is less than 0.02%.

    We called about Minute Made soft frozen lemonade and they said that they test and gluten content in less than 0.02% but they won't say it is gluten free. Is that just a CYA thing? Is it still safe? The ingredient label looks fine except for the ususal "Natural Flavor". Thanks!

    Awesome! It's amazing how quickly they start to gain weight. Our 5 yr old weighed 30 pounds on May 22 when she was diagnosed. By June 22nd she had gained 3 lbs. That's 10% of her body weight.

    The Vann's gluten free waffles are very high in fiber. They have 20% of the daily allowance per serving (2 waffles) and even my 5 year old loves them so they must be good. They have apples adn cinamon or blueberry.

    I am very new too but have learned that starting January 06 the FDA requires manufacturers to list common allergen content clearly on the ingredient label. Apparently in the past there were many places it could be "hidden" such as Natural Flavoring and Modified Food Starch. Now it can't be.     Our daughter was diagnosed May 22 so we are very new to this. She has done quite well on the gluten-free diet. Within a week she was like a new child with tons of energy and was eating us out of house and home! My question is, how obvious will it be if she gets some gluten?     Nic, after 6 straight months of "wait 3 days, then large stool, then flood gates" our daughter became "normal" within 2-3 days of going gluten free. She goes once a day like a clock.
