    For the most part we simply don't eat out. The anxiety is not worth the not having to wash dishes. On the 5-6 occasions we do eat out, my wife is also Celiac so she and my daughter sit on one side of the booth and my son and I sit on the other.

    Do Duraflame type fire logs contain gluten? I can't call them until Monday to ask. I know some charcoals do but I let Tori roast marshmellos over one of those synthetic fire logs and now she is acting funny.     My daughter was diagnosed 2 weeks after her 5th birthday. She would go 2 days without a BM then have 3 within half an hour. They were loose and looked greasy or fatty.     My wife is an asymptomatic Celiec so it's real hard to tell if she has been glutened or not. After a beach trip with the girls this weekend and LOTS of eating out at restaurants, she began to feel tired and quesey Monday.     65, It WILL get better! A couple of brief but very important points. - At least for the short term, don't plan to eat out. It's too complicated, too frustrating and too dangerous.     Guys, Don't know if you saw it but I just posted yesterday that Kingsford does NOT use a wheat binder any more. They use corn starch now. I would assume that you would need to buy a brand new grill though to get the contamination off of it from the old stuff.     I think you are going through a fairly normal process. My 5 year old ate us out of house and home for 3 weeks after going gluten free. Prior to that, and agian now, she was a fairly light eater.     That depends really....if he has been eating gluten all along he will likely have less drastic "reaction" to gluten but his overall health will be poor. For example, my daughter was very sick in terms of lack of energy, failure to grow, etc. but she never threw up prior to diagnosis, she just felt lousey all the time.     Our daughter had just turned 5 when she had her biopsy. For her it went very well. She's a tought little thing.     I guess I have a question first...did you buy a set of dedicated gluten-free pots and pans? A cutting board I can see being more like a toaster in that it needs to be completely separated, but I think if you throoughly wash your pots and pans you should be fine.     Sorry to hear about your bad experience. We learned that lesson the hard way at one of those festivals two weeks ago. We bought our daughter popcorn and 30 minutes later she was throwing up! The fair is coming up here but we won't be eating anything....

    My 4 year old's cavities were the first sign (looking back) of problems. I and my older child have no cavities at all. It is merely a result of the malnutrition. Celiac affects bone strength for sure. I am wondering if my daughters permenant teeth will be OK now that she is gluten free. Hope so....

    I assume he is feeling OK? My guess is he was so sick and malnourished before that he slept a ton. I would guess he is feeling so much better now and has so much more energy that he requires less sleep???? After my daughter went gluten free her energy level went through the roof! My kids go to bed at 9:30 and get up at 7:00. I would say keep him up a little...

    Thanks for the support. She is 100% fine today. In fact, about 2 hours after she threw up last night she was eating again and seemed to be fine.
