  1. So.. the elephant walk in Waltham also serve the gluten free menu for lunch and dinner? I was under the impression it was only the cambridge and boston locations..... Good to know if it is true - much closer for me!! Please confirm...
  2. Its LaraBars for me.. sure - they are just fruits and nuts but if you're looking for the instant calories (ie: energy) and some potein.. they are great. Here's one: Cashew Cookie.. just cashews and dates. 230 cal, protein 5g, 0g chol, fiber 3g.

  5. gringo mountain for me.. I do find they don't stay fresh all that long in the bag though... last batch was stale tasting after 3 days... but I don't eat a whole bag at a time I guess I need to work on that!
  6. Thank you both for your replies... I had found the info on Sobey's and Atlantic and will surely check them out. Since we are driving from the states, I plan on packing a bunch of items as well. I'm hoping to be able to each out at some restaurants though from time-to-time... I love eating out and it is the part of this "diet" that is really difficult...
  7. Hi.. I'm planning a trip in August to mainland nova scotia and was wondering about any advice on inns or b&b's plus restaurants that others are familiar with. I've done the google searches and found a bunch of stuff.. but was hoping for some first hand experiance to back it up. I'm looking to travel in Yarmouth, Annapolis Royal, Wolfville, Truro, Halifax...
  8. Hi.. yes - RAW cheese is made without pasterization.. most agree the cheese tastes better and is in a more pure state. Of course, you also need to be a bit careful because it is not pasturized... I eat mainly raw cheese because I just like it better.. Whole Foods does mark most of these cheeses but anyone in the cheese department can help you out too. Good...
