  1. Great start, Fiddle Faddle! Please forgive me if I'm changing things way too much here. But I had been tossing around some ideas too and will share them. I tried to incorporate most of what you said with my thoughts. See what you think. Dear Dr. Fine, We are a large group of people who participate on a notable internet gluten free forum. You...
  2. If you think there is honestly enough interest and that it is useful enough to pursue, then to quote a famous captain....... "Make it so."
  3. I would prefer a group letter as well. My personal objective would be to try to find out anything new he is willing to say concerning the publishing and direction of his research using stool samples to detect gluten, casein, egg, soy and yeast sensitivities, evidences of damage to the small intestine and subsequent malabsorption of fat as well as genetic...
  4. We need some feedback from those of you who have interest in this subject. 1. Do you think we should all just individually send short appropriate emails to Enterolab's site? OR 2. Do you think a longer well written common email somehow signed by us all would be better? If we all individually send short emails, then the logistics are...
  5. I honestly don't know. I'm not proficient enough on the internet to be in charge of a group email. But I'm sure many of you here would know how to do that. But it all depends upon which way would best get Enterolab's attention. We also don't want to hurt them in any way by blanketing their email system with too many emails or something like that. Forgive...
  6. I started this thread. I simply wanted to know if anyone could help me determine whether Dr. Fine was a man of character and whether his research was sound and true or whether it was not. I wanted to know that because living a gluten free lifestyle for me has not been a positive experience. I am so proud of all of you who take on this disease with...
  7. I hate to keep repeating this. But for those of us who innocently/unfortunately did not get conventional medical testing done before going gluten free and whose subsequent only clinical evidence of gluten intolerance is from enterolab's testing and who also may not even have easily recognizable symptoms to go by, Dr. Fine's integrity or lack of it is a mighty...
  8. Thanks for the kind encouragement everyone. I honestly don't try to make a big deal out of being guten free. I'm usually very quiet about it. But because of my multiple allergies it just gets frustratingly complicated sometimes. When you are tired and don't feel especially good, it's hard to ALWAYS plan way ahead and ALWAYS be so different, ALL the time...
  9. Wow. I have been away from the board for quite some time. Imagine how surprised I was to see the long thread that grew from my simple original innocent question. I have unfortunately not been visibly helped from going gluten, casein and soy free. It is always possible that something good may have been happening on the inside, but my health remains very...
  10. We will be visiting Cincinnati. Is there an Outback Steakhouse or other family friendly, moderately priced, gluten free restaurant near the Cincinnati Children's Hospital area? How about a Whole Foods? Thanks.
  11. Thanks for all the replies. Making hot chocolate or even bakery goods with cocoa are not the challenge for me at this point. I have found pretty good cocoa that is free from all the things I can't have. But I crave a good creamy piece of dark chocolate in bar form. I can't have dairy, cane sugar, gluten, soy or corn. So there is virtually no prepared...
  12. I asked some questions about rice milk in another post recently. But interest seems to have ended and I need one more question answered as definitively as possible. 1.For most of you on this board, IS or IS NOT the notorious Rice Dream milk OK for gluten intolerant people? They say gluten free boldly on the label. What's your verdict? 2.Where...
  13. Thanks everyone. I will try to get some Pacific when I can. I was wrong. It isn't in any of my stores and will require long distance traveling to obtain. Previously I had bought the Rice Dream because they now actually say "gluten free" on the label. Did they change recently in a positive way or do most gluten people on this forum still have trouble...
  14. I don't live near any Whole Foods, but I'm sure I can find Pacific in the small stores I have. Is Pacific noted for being trustworthy concerning gluten? I want to branch out and make some fun things for variety, but it isn't worth getting glutened for. Thanks for the information.
  15. I need to use some kind of "milk" product and rice milk seems to be the best choice for me. I know that Rice Dream produces problems with many people. Is there any commercial rice milk product that seems to sit well with most gluten intolerant and multiple allergy people? I need it to be plain without sweeteners or vanilla either. Thanks.
  16. UPDATE: I just received a nice email from the president of Crystalline Solutions. He apologized and said that they had unfortunately had a personal tragedy and the company had been shut down for several weeks. If that is true, then it explains everything. He graciously offered to return my money or send out my products by FEDEX. He also said that...
  17. Unfortunately, I went through a particular naturopath/chiropractor for my Diagnos Tech test. She was into a lot of what I consider real hocus pocus stuff and I chose not to go that direction. She had little interest in my newly discovered gluten intolerance because she said I could eliminate it and any other food intolerances permanently by tapping in the...
  18. I've participated on this board for about 3 years now and never hear anything about Diagnos-Tech. They were the ones who first alerted me to my intolerance to gliadin, casein and albumin. From there I went on to be tested by York and finally Enterolab who reported similar results. I have always wondered with the ease of saliva testing, why more people...
  19. I contacted Pay Pal and their dispute process was so complicated I've been going around in circles for two days. All they keep sending me are computer generated responses. After I plow my way through them and file it, they come back with another request for the same data. Where are the human beings?! I waited this long because the company said that...
  20. I can't have soy so I ordered a reasonably large order of sunflower lecithin products online from a company in Canada called Crystalline Solutions. Nice website and they were even recommended on a couple of other websites. They warned upon ordering that orders sometimes get stuck in customs for a few days, but to let them know if my order didn't arrive...
  21. Is this brand of cheese honestly good? We have tried others and they sure aren't. I would be delighted to find a cheese I could buy. It's what I miss the most. Do you know if it's also corn free? Thanks!
  22. There is no need to avoid this wonderful seed because of price or the aggressive tactics of a certain company's overzealous marketing team. This company has made special claims for their variety of this particular seed. But foremost experts on the subject disagree with them. The seed is universally wonderful no matter what color it is. I have used the...
  23. Thanks again. I decided to go with your suggestion. I appreciate it!
  24. Thanks for the speedy input! Your suggestion sounds good. No time for the attorney this time, unfortunately. I got this dumped on me at the last minute and I have to think fast. No gluten, dairy, soy or corn ingredients. Does anyone else have an opinion about saying it that way? Is it clear? Do you like that better than "Made without gluten...
