    • Stomach Gurggling, Pain, Exhaustion, UGH
      I had a hard time going gluten free until after indulging in something I had horrible stomach upset and diarrhea. And my diarrhea had blood in it. It was then I realized what was really going on inside that I couldn't see but was feeling. Since then I haven't had any temptations. Even cookies! Which I love. It was my light bulb moment. I think everyone needs that light bulb moment. Maybe this pizza could be yours. 
    • confusing blood results
      I was tested in 2012 and my tests came back positive. But I never got my results. A few weeks ago I got the test results and the family doctor said I have celiac disease. I went gluten free and know when I have had gluten now. I feel so much better. But because I had such a long time before I got my results I got another test. That blood test came back normal even though I had not been gluten free much. I did one day without and then one day with. Back and forth. So at the time of testing I had done 2 days gluten free with 10 days of on and off gluten free before that. Is that enough to make my results go down to normal? Here they don't transfer you to a GI doctor for biopsy to diagnose.  The plus side is that my 2 year old was diagnosed and is doing much better. 
    • Positive biopsy but blood work negative
      Hi Everyone, This is my first post and I'm hoping someone can give me advice. I had a colonoscopy and egd done for multiple gastrointestinal symptoms I was  having and it came back indicating mild or beginning stages of celiac. I do not have a copy of the biopsy results but it said results indicated mild or beginning stages of celiac or other processes?? (something like that but I can't remember exactly what the nurse said). Anyway, they requested I get bloodwork done and the results are below:       Celiac Panel   Gliadin IgA 5 unit Gliadin IgG 4 unit Reticulin IgA Negative Reticulin IgA Add'l not indicated. Reticulin IgG Negative Reticulin IgG Add'l Not Indicated TTG IgA 1     These results are obviously negative but higher than my 2009 results when I was tested. Here are my 2009 results: Gliadin IgA <3 u/ml Gliadin IgG <3 u/ml Reticulin IgA <1:10 Reticulin IgG <1:10 TTG IgA <3 u/ml   What do you make of this? Should I be pursuing another diagnosis or asking for any more specific blood work to get a celiac dx? The biopsy indicated celiac but the bloodwork says otherwise. Thanks!

      Hi i'm new to this, my girlfriend has been diagnosed for 2 years now with celiac disease and with me being a  non celiac. I try my hardest to still keep eating gluten but also try to not get her sick.I'd rather have her happy and healthy than eat gluten though.  It's hard because i hate seeing her sick and miserable. Any suggestions would be great.  Along with the celiac disease my girlfriend is also allergic to yeast (cross reactive or it acts the same as gluten) and is also allergic to dairy,soy,peanuts,eggs.
    • can't figure out what is glutening me
      Food products like hot dogs, cookies and bread all have multiple ingredients which can play hell on a gut that is still struggling to heal.  Stick with fresh, whole, clean foods for at least 6 months and then slowly introduce one of your favorite goodies, like a hot dog, and see how you do.   If a food product has ingredients, then it is not a whole clean food.  Bake a piece of chicken with some spices, roast or steam some veggies, bake a sweet potato & pour a little coconut oil on it.  Yummy, good for you and ingredient free!  Help for your healing gut!
