Birthday On The Horizon

So the Milky Way made me sick all weekend, but I still managed to go 2 steppin.

I haven't had the pleasure in ten years, so it probably wasn't pretty, but it was fun.

I'm not big into country music, but I had friends who took me to country bars (cheap beer) back in the college days. AND I can appreciate cute cowboys. They always seem so chivalrous, too.

My date offered me a beer. I refrained from rolling my eyes and just said I can't have beer.

He's the same one who wants to surprise me sometime and cook spaghetti for me. mmm hmmm

He was shocked I couldn't have pasta. After I explained that pasta is made from flour, I don't think he believed me!

Finally I just said I'd never eat anything, no suprises!, unless I watched him make it. ANd even then I'm not promising to eat it. I realize he seems like he's trying to be nice, but PLEASE just stop w/the food, dude.

They called me to sub for a softball game tonight, tho, and I had to refuse. Too sick.

I made myself eat an egg, a gluten free donut, and leftover veggies, and milk and sour patch kids to get the yucky taste out of my mouth from the stomach medicine. I slept a lot. The leg and back are fine, now it's just the stomach. ugh.

Hopefully I'm using up all my karmic paybacks with the miserable gluten episodes.

The birthday is this week, and after the gift chase Friday, I'm ready for a low stress bday.

My pal in Maine usu. bakes me a cake or something and sends it. gluten-free, of course. She's a good experimenter, too, so it's always SPECIAL. Ya know, because celiacs are so SPPPECIAL. She is the only one I'll let cook for me. Even my mom gets too confused. So I hope I start feeling better and I hope I don't have brain fog tomorrow at work.
