i need a good ( hopefully nearby to oroville,CA.)   doctor with recent knowlege of how a severe gluten allergy can be treated, to limit exacerbation of  adrenal and other physical problems.

i do have medicare as primary, and CalPers, secondary insurance,

but can hardly drive far and walk too.  local referring hospitals and etc  have nothing to offer.

Hopefully you will call or write to me asap

as my regular dr, is out of town, and i need immediate treatment? or ?

e mail  ASAP, to  carolynhunter@wildblue.net

I don't know any doctors there.  I bet there are some GI docs in Sacramento that would be good.

I am not sure why you need immediate medical treatment?  Celiac disease doesn't usually need a lot of treatment besides the gluten free diet.  If you are having some sort of issue that can't wait for your doctor to come back - is there a doctor covering his/her practice?  or The Emergency room if you are having some extreme issues?

thanks......... but my condition is more serious than most gluten intolerant people..... therefore 'time is more important in  my complicated case.. and a knowlegable dr. could help my regular doc help me to stay alive.

Have you been diagnosed with Celiac disease?  Are you looking for a GI for that?  Even if you are already diagnosed,  there isn't much for a doctor to do.

Heres a reliable site with good info about Celic disease -

"The only treatment available

When you have biopsy-diagnosed celiac disease, you will be instructed to begin a gluten-free diet....."

Also, just a positive DNA for Celiac does not mean you have Celiac. About 30% of people have the gene but only about 1% have Celiac. You would want to get some antibody blood tests & maybe an endoscopy with biopsies.

This treatment looks promising. Its aim is to provoke immune tolerance of gluten, possibly curing the disease. It passed the phase 2 trial with flying colours, and I came across a post on Reddit by one of the study volunteers. Apparently, the results were good enough that the company is applying for fast track approval.  Anokion Announces Positive Symptom Data from its Phase 2 Trial Evaluating KAN-101 for the Treatment of Celiac Disease https://www.reddit.com/r/Celiac/comments/1krx2wh/kan_101_trial_put_on_hold/

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.
