I'm sure there is something on here about this but I am too stressed to even search. Just today my feet, hands, arms, part of my face, and lower back are tingling and numb...my fingers ache!!! What the heck is going on and what do I do?! I'm worried I was glutened yesterday. Is this a symptom? Never had it happen all these years. Feeling scared?

I guess it could be from a glutening.  It worries me that half your face tingles/numb....    I am guessing it might be something else.  You might want to call your doctor

I agree with Lacey. At the very least, make a call to your doctor tomorrow. If you feel really frightened, maybe your doctor has a call service and he can get back to you.

Lacey, how are you feeling today?

I agree that you should see the doctor to make sure there isn't something new or more serious going on, but try not to panic. Easier said than done, I know (I have a lot of health anxiety) but I have been researching a lot about nerve tingling in relation to Celiac and it is definitely a symptom that some people have. So get it checked out because you need to take care of yourself, but don't get yourself into a bad state of anxiety about it.

I often look back at all the time I lost to my health anxiety and think that I can never get that time back :-/ As my best friend says, "It isn't a thing until it's a thing." Go see if it's a thing :-D

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
