Just wondering if anyone else here is in the Memphis area? I'm actually in north MS, but Mem is only about 70 miles north. I wish there were a support group. It would be worth driving a little ways for.

I'm an hour south of memphis(Mo.),can't find anyone around here.

There does need to be a group somewhere around here.

And also more knowledge in the medical community.

I just moved to Vancouver, WA from Marion, AR a couple of weeks ago. Way off topic, but I'm jealous of ya'll's warm weather (although I seee ya'll are under a tornado watch now, so I don't feel so homesick!).

The Memphis group meets the fourth Monday night at of each month at Wild Oats. Don't think there will be a fourth Monday meeting in December since that falls on Christmas. There is, however, a potlock Christmas Party planned for Dec 11 at 6:30 at a group members home in Memphis. Lisa Trenthem, the contact person listed on the Wild Oat calendar sent out the party date today, but she doesn't yet have directions.

Check the second, more detailed, Wild Oat store calendar at the link below. Lisa's contact info is there.

Yes, if you are convinced gluten is causing you problems then it would seem to come down to NCGS but you may also have other intolerances.

There are huge categories of gluten-free foods, are there any particular types of foods that you are trying to find?
    • Roses8721
Ended up demanding HLA and I’m negative for both. So assuming this is NCGs now? PCP seems unsure and GI is referring to genetics which I don’t get.  about to lose my mind

suggest me best gluten free food thank you

You are definitely not alone aftertastes and denser interiors are really common with gluten-free baking. Oat and tigernut flours are great choices, and tweaks like extra egg or adjusting hydration are exactly the kind of trial and error that usually leads to better texture over time.
