hi i’ve been on my gluten free journey now for about 5 months dx in january of 2021 - i’ve noticed initially on this diet my weight was pretty balanced no major weight gain but in the last month or so i’ve gained roughly 10 pounds!!  i’ve been feeling much better as well so i’m wondering if antibody else has had this happen and if it’s from healing or just eating too much!  i try to watch and i don’t feel like i’m overeating

I definitely gained much needed weight 2-3 months after I began eating gluten-free. Up to that point I was 6'1" and weighed ~160 lbs. At the 6 month point I believe I was around 180 lbs.

yikes i hadn’t lost weight at all because i didn’t have many GI symptoms and i kinda liked myself at that weight - i feel like i just woke up 10 pounds heavier and i’m sad about it - glad to be healthy ofc but now it’s diet time

I think the most successful diet for losing weight, and dealing with celiac disease, is a low carb, paleo diet, but everyone likely has their own viewpoint on this. Cutting empty carbs and sugar can't be bad for you.

Madmom I had similar experience! I also gained ~10lbs within first 6 months, and then 10lbs more until my weight stabilized. I had same weight for almost 9 years now. I took it as a good sign, I was finally absorbing all nutrients. I would like to lose some weight now (bikini issue as well :D), low carb diet is the only thing that works for me. And I also find it to be great diet for digestion.

so i’m not alone thank god!!! i thought i was overeating but it’s not the case - occasionally i do over snack but never had an issue with being overweight.  My body does feel so much better and my eyes never looked so healthy and white so i’m glad i’m in the right direction - now it’s time to balance it all out - ty and ty to Scott for your feedback on this

The Lindt (Lindor) dairy-free oat milk truffles are definitely gluten-free, and (last time I checked) so are the white chocolate truffles and the mint chocolate truffles.

I've used magnesium taurinate and magnesium taurate vitamins.  Didn't notice much of a difference when I used them.

More great tips, and a good excuse to shop at M&S and also buy more iced buns!   I wish we had an ASDA near us, as the few times we've been to one their gluten-free pasta range seemed very reasonably priced compared to other shops.  Thanks so much, @Russ H.
