I have eaten Sweet Loren’s cookies before and they were good. I got a package here lately and the cookies were terrible once I baked them. Anyone else have this issue? I want to try them again but not sure if I am doing something wrong

I am a big Loren's Cookies fan, what I do is I place a bit of foil on  top of the cookies then take it off about halfway through. It helps it cook on the inside without it burning, I do the same thing with cake. I am not sure if that is the issue you are having if they are coming out half raw? Or do you mean they don't taste right?

They weren’t as good, but I wondered if I over baked them. It’s hard to tell especially with gluten free but if you overcook anything gluten-free it’s just yucky lol how long do you bake yours? I will try the foil too. Is there a flavor of cookies that you prefer?

Welcome, @Melvin McDowell! Just wanted you to know you are replying to a post that was made 21 years ago. It is unlikely that person is still monitoring this thread, especially since they are a "guest" poster and not registered as a member.

My feeling is that histamine intolerance/MCAS is doesn't get enough press in the medical world and is greatly underdiagnosed.

I just saw in Trent’s response something about the vitamins. Good to know.

Have you heard anything about being celiac and pills, vitamins not absorbing into your system?  I hope that makes sense. Basically, you don’t get the full effect. There is something that helps the absorption, like Vit C?? Thanks for all of your help.

Updating to note that it has been over a month since I initially wrote Prana and they haven't provided a response to my question about what testing limits (ppm) they use now. I've sent them a couple reminder emails but nothing. Booo.
