Ok so I just found out that for real I can not have gluten in my lipstick or face wash or face lotion etc. so now I am sitting here amid a very expensive pile of lipstick, chapstick, face wash, face toner & birth control pills that I can not figure out if I can use or not!!!!! Screw these companies that say they are sorry but they can not guarantee their products are gluten free. That is such discrimination. Anyway enough venting! How do I find out if I can use all this stuff or not? I have gotten all the info I can from the delphi list but none of the rest of this stuff is on it. Can anyone help me? Sprintec birth control, Alba/Avalon organics facial products, Body Shop Vit. C facial cleanser, Bonne Bell Lipsmackers (not LIQUID lipsmackers,) Revlon lipstick, Maybelline Lipstick. Where can I look for a list or does anyone use these products as gluten-free?

thank you sooooooooooooooo much!!

I found this information on Revlon:

Revlon Canada Ltd.

(status as of July 2004)

Please call (905) 276-4500 with your product inquiries

and they will research it for you. They do not publish a

gluten free list.

As for gluten free medications, I usually check the website www.glutenfreedrugs.com. I checked for you and Sprintec seems to be gluten free. You may want to call the company just in case. I know it's a pain, but I called the cosmetic companies of all the products I use to verify whether they're gluten-free.

Whats the verdict on Aveeno? I've got two bottles of body wash and the face wash.

Should i give them away, or should they be alright?

Carriefaith Enthusiast

Doesn't Aveeno use oats in their products?

On the delphi list it says all Bonne Bell are gluten-free except for anything with strawberry flavour in it.

This is what Bonne Bell emailed me today. Too bad. I was a real fan of lipsmackers!

The products that contain glutens are the following. The gluten is in the form of Wheat Germ Oil.

1. Sun Smackers

2. Clip N Go Lip Smackers

3. Megastar Lip Smackers

4. Original Lip Smackers (in the chapstick type tube)

All other products that The Bonne Bell Company makes are gluten and wheat free.

Do you have DH? I have never had to worry about skin and makeup with gluten-free (except lipstick because you eat it off) and I am a super-sensitive celiac. Did the doctor tell you not to use gluten-free skin products? I would do some reseach on that before you throw away all of your creams.

OOPS, I forgot to tell you that Mary Kay Signature Listicks are gluten-free.

I put on over 12kg by eating protein with every meal, 3 to 5 times a day. Eggs, Chicken, Tuna, Turkey etc. I stay away from too much red meat as it can be inflammatory. Scott is correct. I've come across a bunch of Coeliac PT's on Tiktok and Instagram. They all say the same thing, the key is getting enough protein and consistency.

It's great to hear that eliminating gluten has helped alleviate symptoms like eye burning, which is a significant and positive change. The first and most important step is to ensure you're consuming enough protein throughout the day to support muscle repair and growth, which can be challenging with a busy schedule. Since you're already physically active at work, adding focused strength training just 2-3 times per week can make a major difference. Bodyweight exercises like squats, push-ups (modified if needed), and lunges, or using resistance bands at home, are excellent, efficient places to start. Remember, consistency with these short sessions and prioritizing post-workout recovery, including good sleep and hydration, are just as crucial as the workouts themselves. It's a smart, gradual process at any age.

Trader Joe's carries a good variety of affordable gluten-free foods like bagels, hamburger buns, pasta, etc. I like Franz Gluten Free bread, which is available at my local Costco. Food For Life and Little Northern Bakehouse (advertisers here) also make excellent gluten-free breads. Costco also sells gluten-free pizzas, crackers, gravy, etc.
