Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Dear Andrea,

I wonder where Claire is? It has been forever since we heard anything from her. The last time she posted anything was after going on that spiritual retreat. Peace and Love Girl disappeared, too. Where is everyone?

Dear Everyone,

I just got an idea. Something I could do from home for a little money is wrap presents for people. I am not sure how much to charge, though. I can get supplies for a good price at the Factory Card and Party Outlet store. I know I could make flyers and hand them out. Most families have at least one child. One has eight!

Sincerely,

Jin

Jin,

That's a good idea. I love wrapping gifts...my favorite part of the holidays!! :D

Everyone,

I am going to go to the bookstore tonight and look at raw diet food books. I want to look into this. I know someone who has Lyme and she is on a raw diet and she LOVES it. It may be helpful with the detox process.

Dear Kassandra,

I love wrapping gifts, too! It was surprising to learn 37 percent of people polled dreaded doing that. I always thought it was fun. Hopefully, there are a lot of people around here who are in that 37 percent. Maybe I could get enough money to pay off some of my bill from school and to help my medical issues be resolved.

If you want more information on the raw food diet, I say go for it! Things like that never have appealed to me. The part about not being able to cook meat over a certain temperature makes me nervous. I do not want to get food poisoning. I heard this diet is very beneficial, because it has to do with how cooking food destroys essential enzymes in food that your body needs.

Dear Mia,

I did not get a chance to talk about the protein powder before. My post was really long, and there was no room! Is the rice protein powder made by Jarrow? I heard it was good for people with Leaky-Gut. I have considered trying it.

Sincerely,

Jin

A reporter with Lyme has done a series on Lyme. Its wonderful. Her sister was misdiagnosed with MS years ago, but has a documented case of a bulls eye rash years ago (1960's). Sister was correctly diagnosed with Lyme, then the reporter sister was diagnosed recently. Its a great series, with great LLMDs interviewed.

Thanks Laura! I looked at the first page and bookmarked it for later. :)

kassandra, i have done live food for a week before and felt great. It was before i was really sick. You might get good results from proper food combining. I am on my phone, so im not writing a lot now, but you might want to check ou the Fit For Life books. Harvey Diamond also has a my space. I would be concerned about too little protein with being chronically ill.

Theres a good article mentioned on a ln thread. I think its the muscle wasting thread. Its about protein req for the ill.

Jin - my toes are still kind of a gold color with black appliques with rhinestones... :P I did this about a week before my trip and since it's been kind of cool here the past week, I haven't been motivated to change it, lol. I went so far as to pick out my next color, but just haven't done anything about it. Maybe later after my BioSET appointment. I'm not sure I'll paint them again though...weather will be turning cold and I won't be wearing sandals or open toe shoes much so they won't show, and I like to give the nails a chance to rest.

Dear Laura,

Thank you so much for the link! :) It is about time journalists write more about this! Lyme is a neglected illness. Many people are probably going to finally understand what is happening with them now. All of the trouble it causes is pretty scary, and misdiagnosis are typical.

Dear Andrea,

I put it in my favorites. I just hope I remember where it is when I need to! I just woke up and have a headache. Reading it later would be better, because my head impairs my ability to concentrate and recall or understand things sometimes. You know how migraines are! :(

Dear Carla,

I have noticed protein helps me feel better. I tend to be a carbohydrate freak, which is bad. Eating cereal tends to make me sleepy. It can also cause blood sugar levels to drop quickly after a couple of hours. There is a lot of cooking to do today so I can eat well the rest of the week! Dad just went to the store last night.

Dear Donna,

Your toes sound pretty! I have never done anything fancy like that. It would be nice to try. I can make my own stencils. Sally's Beauty Supply has some cute stuff. I have not been very motivated with my nails, either!

It is getting cold, and socks are essential now. I left my favorite blue color on so long, once I removed it, there was a nasty looking layer underneath. I must have left it on way too long! I am not sure, but it may have been something in the polish itself. Maybe you will feel more like doing something after your appointment today.

Let us know how BioSet goes! Hopefully, nothing new will pop up for intolerances. It is so odd how things change periodically. One week, you cannot have something and the next you can! Our bodies are so crazy!

Dear Everyone,

Dad's leg is doing a little better each day. He still cannot stand for very long. If so, the leg begins to swell. This is the opposite leg of what he had it in last time. Thank God my mother and I convinced him to go to the doctor soon this time! When he had this before, he was lucky he did not need amputation or surgery to remove necrotic and dangerous tissue.

Sincerely,

Jin

Donna,

Hope BioSET goes well today. I hope you'll post an update. :)

Jin,

Glad to hear your dad is doing a bit better. I'm glad it didn't turn worse for him like last time.

Dear Andrea,

Dad is so stubborn, if we had not forced him to call the doctor, he would not have! We told him it was not going to be like last time! The last time this happened was 18 years ago. I was 7 years old. Later the doctor confessed to my mother that he did not expect him to live through the night!

Sincerely,

Jin

..... Has your day been a pink one? I hope it has. I am wearing pink now, but this shirt has seen better days. Let's just say that I have spills on this shirt I do not even know where they came from. There is no telling what I put my elbow in!

..... The Pumpkin Pie with Snickerdoodle Crust is going to be great! I just got a new pie pan. First, I am going to make cherry pie. I have been waiting for that. Then, I need to prepare for Thanksgiving. Chad and I are going to celebrate together this year. Since we are both Celiac, there is no way we could eat at my grandparents' house now.

..... I was thinking a thin layer of melted chocolate would be good on the snickerdoodle crust before you get to the pumpkin filling. What do you think? Or how about cocoa powder or melted baking chocolate added to the pumpkin filling? Like I have not been eating enough chocolate lately! I have been thinking about brownies and all kinds of things I do not need.

.....

Not more Lyme drama! :( I had no idea IgeniX was so strict. It makes sense that they would not want to run the test until a doctor gave them a word, though. Will the blood sample be alright? Or will they have to take more?

..... Psyllium is something I cannot do, either! It makes me very sick. The pain in my stomach was awful. I will not take that stuff ever again! Cramping is apparently not uncommon with that stuff. Even better, Humaworm is a custom blend!

Okay Jin, what is the story with Rachel and you and pink? I remember mentioning my new pink neti pot a while back and got a definite no on the pink. Rachel, feel free to fess up to loving pink. :P

Love your pumpkin pie snickerdoodle idea even if I have never had a snickerdoodle, what are they?

Igenex has to be strict, a few years ago they were accused of misdeeds resulting in false positives on their Lyme tests because they had so many positives and other labs had so few!!!! They won, they proved that not only were they not sloppy in any way but in fact they were the superior lab.

I think psillium is from hell, I noticed a few years ago that they started pushing the orange variety and if you read the label it says something like pharmacies and doctors may call to get the complete list of ingredients. So what is in the orange stuff?

Ha, Rinne, Rachel has decided that there MAY be more to pink than meets the eye, lol.

Jin, glad your dad is getting better.

BioSET was interesting today. I had one of the new people Anna was training a few months ago. She was pretty good and very thorough. I wasn't getting very good readings and halfway through the process she had to recheck my polarity. Strangetly enough, I didn't feel well yesterday (slightly nauseated a couple of times), and today feel okay, but just really tired. I guess it showed cuz she had a hard time getting readings.

Anna hadn't written down the game plan with the allergies, so Valerie asked me if there was anything in particular I wanted her to check--she noted that at some point we have to check miasms. I said that I didn't think we were done with allergies, but wasn't sure which ones were left, and also said that miasms would be fine too. We ended up checking chemicals.

Okay, wow, I had a TON of sensitivities there. It was interesting because what came up today really jives with what I think I have problems with. A lot of paint things came up...I afew years ago I used to oil paint, but had to stop because the chemicals were getting to me...no wonder, lol. Can't even use acylics though anymore.

The stupid chemicals are affecting EVERYTHING! Stupid chemicals. I can't remember all of them, but lots of common ingredients in cosmetics came up. :( I basically only wear makeup on Sundays or special ocassions now, but my eyes always burn when I do...also, some of this stuff is in the cleansers and lotions I use.

Stupid chemicals.

I think I have Anna next week, so maybe we'll do miasms then.

Wow Donna! :o

I would assume those will be things of the past once you can get started on some treatments and lessen drastically your toxic load right now.

I'm interested in the miasms too. Didn't Rachel say something about those affecting getting better?

Donna-

In my muscle testing Chemicals and foods are my main offenders too. Chemicals are huge including food preservitives .

I can feel how chemicals affect me so much though. Especially cleaning products and stuff. I get really sick in big stores . I have a very select group of products i use. I don't wear make up really so that is not an issue. But i have one lotion i use, one soap , one face lotion, one tooth paste , etc. I don't use anything with a scent really at all at this point. and everythign i use has very few ingredients.

The chemical thing really sucks becasue theya re impossible to avoid even though i don't use them plenty of people were way too much perfume and it always really affects me and i can't control what cleaning products and sprays other people use. The other day i was in the grocery store and these two women were spraying air fresheners to test which scent they liked I thought i was going to die I basically ahd to run out of the store.

Donna and Mia, I have in the past been very sensitive to chemicals as well. I am better than I was though. I recently switched to everyday minerals makeup, it has very simple ingredients. I so far do very well with this. Skin care products--I am careful there too.

I used to get very faint after about 30 seconds in a store. I still avoid exposures where I can. A big one to avoid--cooking on a gas stove. Gas heat can be a problem, but the stove/oven is a major issue.

I also avoid perfumes whenever I can. I can't buy organic out here very often, but that helps too.

My allergist told me it takes 10 days for chemicals to move through the body, versus four days for foods.

Hi Rinne,

As a menopausal woman B) , I am doing it without use of hormones or anything, really.

I'm in the process as well, but am on HRT for now. Natural progesterone and estrogen patches, small doses. The doc put me on this due to bad insomnia. My gyn says she isn't too worried for this small dosage and once I am fully into menopause we'll back it off.

I am finding the hot flashes not too bad but recently am concerned that it might be babs instead of hormone related.

I am rather confused about the acid/alkaline thing. Can anyone clear this up? I noticed a post with a quote from Rachel about more acidic better to combat parasites. Then I saw some posts about using vinegar and lemon juice for being more alkaline. Also since I am a type O blood type I understand it is better for me to be more acidic.

So I am not sure what to try!

Sherry, I thought I'd Google it before I answered and I found this informative page ... http://www.earthtym.net/ph-intro.htm.

My LLMD said to drink lemon water during a herx ... though it seems wrong, lemon/lime water will help make you more alkaline. He also says that if the lemon water makes you feel better, you may want to consider an alkaline diet.

I crave the lemon water at times, then at other time I can't stand it. I think that if you're giving your body good foods, you tend to crave what you need.

Yeah, I think so...can't remember exactly what. Later today I'll search through my bookmarks and see if I have anything about them.

Yeah, I know one of the things that came up was isopropyl alcohol I think...they put that in everything.

The one thing I didn't react to was BOUNCE. So, Rachel, if you ever need any help with busting through the bounce blockade, I'm your girl. :P

Egads, 10 days! I avoid perfume like the plague myself...messes me up pretty badly. I do use mineral makeup for foundation, blush and eyeshadows, but some of the other stuff isn't. :(

Chemicals bother me for the most part, but sometimes I am not affected as much as other times. I don't know why that is.

I use mineral make-up too. At first it bothered me, and then I stopped using it for several months and then I tried it again and I was fine

I try to keep scented things to a minimum, I am fine with a few things as long as it isn't too synthetic and strong.

Hi there.

I finally got the long awaited IGenX Lyme test.

I will post on the Lyme thread as soon as I can type it.

Thanks for your support.

Could you post it here too. Just do a copy. We've a running list here and I don't always get the update notices for posts on the lyme thread. :)

Yes! I'm relieved and scared all at the same time.

I've been very ill for 9 years now and subtle symptoms going all the way back to early childhood. I believe my pregnancy, dental work and some very stressful events in my life triggered all of this to explode.

I have three little ones to think about now, and I have to figure out what this is going to mean for them.

You don't know how appreciative I am to have this place to have put some more pieces of the puzzle together. I have used every ounce of energy to get to this point. I pray God gives me strength and resolve to now continue the fight for good health.
