Wonderful Dinner Out With Kids

The other day I was skimming through the "eating out" section of this forum and came across a topic about the Outback having a Gluten Free menu. Within the topic someone mentioned that Cheeseburger in Paradise also has one so I looked it up on line and found one about 20 minutes away. So we went last night and the kids had a great time. Even the french fries are gluten free and my son was able to order right off the kids menu he was so excited (mini cheeseburgers, minus the bun, and fries). The environment is kid friendly too. Just thought I would share. So many other places that have the gluten-free menu are not geared toward children. They say you can substitute the fries with a baked potato or veggies (how many kids would be happy with this). And his favorite, The Rain Forest Cafe, has nothing gluten free  . Just wanted to share.

I don't believe the Mini Cheeseburger's at Cheeseburgers in Paradise are gluten free. When we went there we ordered a regular burger w/out the bun & the fries for my daughter. We had a great time at the Myrtle Beach location & they are building one in our home town of Huntersville NC.

Your scraring me. I explained to the waitress that I did not see the gluten-free next to the mini cheeseburgers and she said they are cooked separate from the bun and are all meat. But I did feel as though he has been acting as if he were glutened this week. He had trouble pooping earlier in the week and complained of his "butt" hurting. He has also been bouncing off the walls. How long do the effects of glutening last?

Thank you. I must have misinterpreted a study or something. Thank you for the clarification. Much appreciated. Almost three years into my celiac diagnosis and I'm still learning new things.

I wasn’t clear, glucagon and gadolinium were intravenous. I drank about 5 cups of the prep during 45 minutes. I feel very tired now, probably partly because I was nervous, and partly because I had to fast for 6 hours beforehand and wasn’t very hungry when I got home.

That seems at lot of solution to have put threw you when you already have bowel issues , I will phone them tomorrow because it's sorbitol I have reactions too, thankyou for the input how do you feel now ? I'm not sure I can keep still for that long with my back issues either unfortunately I didn't know it could take that long 😕

The solution I had to drink contained sorbitol and mannitol. I was in the MRI, lying on my back, for about 40 minutes. I was given glucagon partway through, and a gadolinium contrast agent. After I got home there was some diarrhea from the prep solution.
