Disney World On Valentine's Day And Naples Fl

Hello All! I am brand new to the board, I have been reading it for months now, and it has been so helpful! But this is my first post. I was diagnosed with Celiac in the fall of last year and I went gluten-free right away. My mother and my futuer mother in law both have Celiac as well.

My fiance and I are traveling to Disney World and will be there for Valentine's Day and I was hoping someone would have a good suggestion for a romantic restaurant that will cook gluten free. From what I have read, it seems that DW is very helpful for Celiac's. We will also be going down to Naples for a few days and was hoping someone might have suggestions in that area as well.

Thank you all so much!

Are you going to Magic Kingdom, Epcot, etc? If you are going to Magic Kingdom, the restaurant in Italy, Alfredo's is romantic and they were very accomodating to my gluten free needs. Also, the restaurant in Mexico is also romantic.

If you can go to MGM Studios at Disney, I suggest the Brown Derby. I had a fabulous experience there. The chef came out to meet with me and told me to look at the menu and see what appealled to me and he'd make basically any dish gluten-free. I had roasted chicken breast, grilled asparagus and creamy polenta. It was DELISH! Also, he brought out hot tapioca rolls!

Most of the nice places will be very accomodating!

Have fun!

Well, we didn't eat at a restaurant and if we had it certainly wouldn't have been romantic since I went with a friend, lol, but I just wanted to welcome you to the board and to say "hope you have a great romantic time".

Hello, I was very stick,  with flu like symptoms, but my virus panel came back negative and we couldn’t figure out what’s going on. The doctor then added a celiac panel.  Has anyone ever had such a dramatic change?  What are the odds this is true celiac I am going to have an endoscopy, but it’s expensive and I just feel like why can’t the labs be enough?

Eating out in general is full of risks, but this article may help:

This kind of question is always difficult to give a definitive answer to because of so many variables. One such variable is the sensitivity of the individual celiac to small amounts of gluten cross contamination. An amount that causes a reaction in one celiac many not in another, or at least not be discernable which, of course, does not exactly equate to being "safe".

I don't live in the US, but based on this thread, I wouldn't risk it:   https://www.reddit.com/r/glutenfree/comments/1n2ehw8/cracker_barrel/   This app is helpful: https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

I see that Cracker Barrel restaurants have a gluten free menu (not all locations, but one confirmed that they do). I was wondering if it is safe for my 5 year old son with celiac disease?
