I recently purchased the Gluten Guard product through this website. I'm wondering though how accurate it is. I've seen several people say that Pantene products were safe, but every one I tried came up as having gluten in it.

Anyone else have any experience with this?

I recently purchased the Gluten Guard product through this website. I'm wondering though how accurate it is. I've seen several people say that Pantene products were safe, but every one I tried came up as having gluten in it.

I am going to have to check this product out. I would, from personal experience with Pantene, expect it may be correct. I have seemed to have a gluten reaction, hair falling out and rash, when I used this product so I stopped using it even though others have had no problem. My guess would be that this item has Vitamin E in it. That is often wheat derived but perhaps like with gluten grain alcohols and vinagers they consider it safe because it has been processed?

What is gluten guard? It sounds interesting....

It's a software product that you can buy for either your computer or your PDA. I have the one for the PDA, and I bought it on this website. You enter in the UPC code from any prodeuct, and if it is in the database, it will tell you if the product has gluten in it.

I found that there were a lot of basic products that were not in the database, but there were also a lot that were. It's not a one-stop sloution for avoiding gluten, but I thought it would be a good tool. They clearly state that they keep it as up to date as they can, but it is not always 100% accurate. I'm just wondering how much it can be relied on, if it's giving me information that is different that some of the information that people are posting on different threads in this website.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic.       Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
