Absolut Vodka

I was wondering if Absolut vodka was safe so I emailed the company and this is the response I received:

The ingredients for the production of ABSOLUT VODKA are grain (wheat), sweetening enzymes, yeast and water from our own well. It does not contain any gluten as it is removed in the production process. This information is also valid for the flavored products in our product range. (For the production of flavored vodka, only natural ingredients from berries, fruits and spices are used.)

Does this mean it is ok????

Thanks!

Yes it does. It is distilled many times and the gluten has been removed. If you are still nervous, there is always potato vodka. I drink Skyy vodka and Famous Grouse Scotch. I contacted the distilleries and they are gluten free. They test them after the distilling process to make sure. What you need to worry about is when they add malt back in after distilling, like in Malt liqour. Always contact the company especially if you are into flavored liquors and such.

I have been looking for new dishes. I was surprised to find dishes made of wheat straw. Are these safe for us? I'm very careful to avoid products that may contain gluten. I never thought I might have to check for wheat in dishes.

Going on a cruise next week and I’m a celiac. Bought a bottle of GliandinX. Should I just take two tablets per day as a precaution? Never tried this before!! Any help is appreciated!!
