Buying Your Child's Favorite gluten-free Food Bulk?

Julia has a few gluten-free things that she really loves ~ so I was thinking about buying in bulk. If you do this,

- does your child ever get tired of the item before you use it all?

- do you think you save money?

- is it a pain to find storage?

- does the product ever go bad or get stale before you use it?

- where do you buy in bulk?

When I buy in bulk I try to pick items that can be used in several ways. Cookies can also be used as pie crusts (and who gets sick of cookies anyway?), crackers are versatile and easily used as a bread crumb substitute in most recipes, same with unsweetened cereal. I would steer clear of buying things like bars in bulk as its easy to tire of one flavor of bar. Yes, its a pain to find storage, but if you find good deals its worth it. amazon .com is the best place I've found so far for bulk gluten free specialty items. They have outrageously cheap prices.

      Shingles is dormant and related to chicken pox when one has had in the past.Shingles comes out when stress is heightened.I had my 3rd Shingles in 2023.

      Oh my......will the danger never end? It has seemed like no matter what we do or have done the odds were/are against us. Next they'll tell us that just looking at wheat will be dangerous. Oh well....hang in there.

      Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute.
