I Feel Ugh

Over the weekend I got contaminated and was just starting to feel better. Tonight we had a family birthday dinner out and I am sure I got it again. I am so bloated and out of breath. Tomorrow will be spent in bed. I can't see me climbing my stairs to get to the main part of the house, I will be so fatigued by then. I went up about a half hour ago and my legs were aching so bad already.

I feel like I can't breath, but I can but it is just such a struggle. I have an inhaler but I know it isn't asthma itself its the food.

It makes me want to drink so much water, I feel parched. So I drink a lot of water then feel even more bloated.

This is depressing, we are going away for a long weekend and will be eating out the whole time. I am scared. We love to go out, we always say we are doing the Rachael Ray thing. The show where she would visit an area and eat at diffrent places for a budget. We don't worry too much about the budget but we plan ahead and know what kind of money we are willing to spend in the first place (not much lol).

So far the waitresses have no idea what I am talking about except one at bar/pub. She came out from the kitchen to tell me something was gluten-free, that she knew to say that impressed me. We were in down town Seattle and more people are aware in the city, but the other places we ate at, hmm they don't know what it is. I just say wheat allergy then I usually say ya know gluten. Tonight she had no idea though.

Cripes this is really going to suck.

I slept on it, after I realized how bummed out I was. Actually I cried myself to sleep. I do know that the major depression I went through for years was not cool to deal with - I used to bake a lot for my family (mainly growing/hungry boys), a lot of whole grain breads and such. Of course I ate them. Anger, depression, brain fog, weakness. UGH I don't want this coming back if only for a day or two or three. I think when the symptoms come back they seem so much more pronounced because they were gone and I don't miss them.

I know its seems over whelming at first. I think that when you are first diagnosed you should try to eat in only....get yourself back to health, and regain your strength. If you are feeling as crummy as I think you are, (I remember that feeling well) you must take care of "you". Then you'll see, you can start baking, and you'll trust eating out better, right now you can't take the chance. The future is a bright one :) Janet

BTW, we've done other articles on this topic that I wanted to share here (not to condone smoking!):

Hi everyone  This has been a crazy year so far... How many people actually get entire sensory overload from gluten or something similar ?  My jaw is going nuts ..and that nerve is affecting my upper back and so on ...  Bones even hurt.  Brain fog. Etc  I had eggs seemed fine.   Then my aid cooked a chicken stir fry in the microwave because my food order shorted a couple key items .   I was so hungry but I noticed light breading and some ingredients with SOY !!! Why are we suffering with soy ? This triggered a sensitivity to bananas and gluten-free yogurt it seems like it's a cycle that it goes on.  The tiniest amount of something gets me I'm guessing the tiny bit of breading that I took one tiny nibble of ...yikes ..im cringing from it .. Feels like my stomach is going to explode yet still very hungry 😔  How long does this last?! Thank you so much

This is an older article, but may be helpful.

I have had orthodontic work done. The 3M invisalign material was no problem. BUT my retainers are another matter. They seemed okay for a few months. Now, however, they cause a burning sensation on my tongue, gums and insides of my lips. The burning sensation is now spreading to my throat. I notice it when I breathe. This is annoying and interferes with my enjoyment of eating. I am visiting with my provider tomorrow. We'll see where this goes from here.

Exactly which blood tests were done? There are a few different ones and some docs don't do them all. Also, your results and reference ranges for each?
