I order some foods through a Co-op thingy and I was able to get the Bob's Red Mill Gluten Free Oatmeal this month!!!!

It says that it is grown in fields dedicated to oats, so I felt comfy eating it. I jsut had it for lunch and it tasted soooo good!!! Apples, brown sugar, butter and sprinkle of cinnamon.

I just had to share this with other people who MIGHT be as excited about eating a bowl of oatmeal as I am!!! My friends just don't 'get it', the whole being excited over oatmeal thing!!!!

I can NOT wait to make chocolate chip peabut butter oatmeal cookies......those are my favorite!!!!!!!!

Yum, I am so jealous.

I haven't found Bob's gluten-free oatmeal in any of the stores around here yet. I may have to order some off of the internet as a Christmas present to myself. Oatmeal is one of the things I miss most.

OMG, oatmeal raisin cookies, they are my favorite!

Congrats! That's so awesome! I can't wait until I can have oatmeal again! My GI doc said I needed to be fully healed (proven by my 1 year blood test) before I can try gluten-free oatmeal. He says that some people react to the protein in oatmeal (not gluten). Having oatmeal again will be such a blessing! I totally understand your excitement! Oatmeal cookies, oatmeal pancakes, It will be fantastic!

Would you share your peanut butter and oatmeal cookie recipe?

Not only are they grown in dedicated fields but I believe they are also tested thoroughly. I am also waiting for our store to carry them. I've asked several times.

Absolutely my point with Kerrigan, the owner. She stood to secure many years of faithful patronage by simply inviting us in for a pastry or lunch. Or by simply producing another $50 e-card based on trust. We would have been highly satisfied. We are limited to a few restaurants in the area, and that would have been one. It was very disappointing, esp to my wife, to realize we can't patronize the place anymore.

You would think any business would see the wisdom of honoring a $50 gift certificate on the basis of customer satisfaction alone, apart from any questions about software glitches.

So there was no physical, plastic card involved, correct?

When my wife attempted to open the online card in the store with a cashier, it would not work. We then showed the owner the link to the card, the online receipt that I got upon purchase, and even my bank statement confirming the purchase. That did not satisfy her, since she said she needed the link to open to reveal the gift ID num. They even admitted they had a systems problem around that time.
