I am DESPERATE!!!

I have been gluten-free for almost 3 yrs now annd am still having severe symptoms regularly...I think I am allergic to other things but the quest to get an Allergix IGg blood test has been more than difficult!!!!

I have a general doctor who seems to know nothing about what I am going through and seems to think I am just ingesting gluten still!! HELLO?? I have been doing this for 3 yrs!! I can read ingredients in my sleep!!! anyways.......she wants so send me to ANOTHER GI doc (her last referral sent me to a GI who told me I needed Metamucill 3x daily for the rest of my life....no joke!!! IDIOT!) Bottom line is I dont think I need another GI doctor...I just need someone like and allergy specialist, celiac specialist, nutritionist or actually just someone who can call the testing center and ask them to give me the simple blood test!!!!

argggg...sorry to vent....I've been dealing with this for about 4 days now and no one seems to understand.

If you have any suggestions PLEASE let me know.

Thanks,

Staci

Your best bet is to find a decent Naturopathic doctor. Most of them are well versed in Celiac and Food intolerances. What are your symptoms? Have you looked into candida and leaky gut. I have been gluten free for a year and i still feel awful. I recently got with an ND and she has me on a diet very similat to the Specific Carbohydrate diet. Google SCD Diet and look into starting one. It is a very simple diet that gived your body a chance to heal properly. My diet for 3 months is just seafood, chicken, beef, and vegetables. I can only eat chicken and beef once a week. She has me on L-Glutamine supplements and wants me to boost my omega 3's by eating fish and taking some supps. Fish is much easier to digest and it helps give your gut some of a break. Your gut is constantly working day in and day out. Its like if you have a scab and you keep picking at it, it will keep scabbing up. You need to be gentle and let your gut relax from its work by giving it easy work. Feel free to PM me if you want me to elaborate on anything. Good Luck

Thanks,

Staci

      Thanks for your input.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.

No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done recently?

Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
