So I'm a little new here, but am very excited about something I just found on Trader Joe's website. They have a link to a whole PDF file that lists all of the gluten-free products they sell. How handy!!! I printed one out and I know it will definitely come in handy for my next shopping trip!

Like I said, I'm new here, so if this is common knowledge, no worries. But for anyone who didn't know or hasn't seen it, here is the link:

Thanks so much! I'm a newbie too, from NC. I did not have this list and our Trader Joe's, we just got one in Charlotte, is so busy on Sat. this will really help.

I LIVE at Trader Joe's......and I eat many things that are not on that list. Have had tremendous luck and no reaction to anything that says "processed in a facility w/ wheat."

Favorite things:

gluten-free Granola

gluten-free pancakes (frozen)

all the yogurts

Columbus meats (deli section)

all the cheeses

Spicy Flax Seed and Soy Tortilla chips

Licorice Scottie Dogs

Black Bean and Corn Enchiladas (frozen)

smoked salmon

TJ's Organic soups (in cartons)

pre-made lentils

....and many others!

The gluten-free list at Trader Joe's is great. However, like all lists, it is obsolete before the ink is dry. Product formulations change all the time, so you still have to read the label each and every time you buy something. There have been many times I have found something on the TJ's gluten-free list only to look at the label and see it contains wheat. Use the list as a starting point, but it is not a substitute for reading the package label.

Trader Joe's is great, just use the list with caution.

      Yes, some people do get withdrawal from gluten but gluten withdrawal doesn't usually cause gut pain. Maybe more like general body aches and discomfort. We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can...

      Ibuprofen

      Do you or anyone know alot about ibuprofen I wasn't sure if I was eating too much apple sauce. Something is making my pain so much worse I'm referring to the intense pins and needles in my feet and lower legs. Jaw actually has tardive dystonia and muscle spasms throughout my back Almost like an opposite effect that a pain reliever...

      We were flabergasted that the owner would not acknowledge a $50 e-gift card I purchased for my celiac wife. My wife tried to open it in the store and was informed there had been a system change and they could not find the record. No worries, she was told, just talk to management. Six months later, and numerous absurd back and forths, and the owner literally informs me there have been "bad actors", so she can't make good on this lost gift card. In other words, she accused me of lying and committing fraud... over $50! Please be careful with your orders and purchases here.

We have articles on gluten withdrawal on this forum. You might do a search for them. Applesauce is very acidic and some brands have added vitamin C (ascorbic acid) which makes them more acidic. This can damage the stomach lining if you eat it too often. Especially if your stomach lining is already compromised. Ibuprofen inhibits the body's ability to rebuild the stomach's protective mucosal lining. That's why it can cause peptic ulcers. As strange as it may sound, low level irritation/inflammation stimulates the body to rebuild the stomach lining. There are two steps in this rebuilding process known as COX 1 and COX 2. Ibuprofen represses both COX 1 and COX 2. Celecoxcib, a prescription anti inflammatory, inhibits only COX 2, making it less likely to cause damage to the gut lining.

I'm fairly new to this. Whatever is going on seems to be worsening  Do people get a withdrawal effect from gluten?  It's extremely painful 😖  I'll post that question or research on the site  Thank you everyone for responding
