We receive so many wonderful ideas and helpful hints from this board, I wondered if anyone has eaten Sami's gluten-free baked goods. We tried the hot dog buns, and they were great. They are made with millet flour, and we don't have any experience with that. Has anyone been able to duplicate this recipe? Would really love a GOOD recipe for hot dog/hamburger buns. Thanks!

Beware of Sami's. I read on another forum that their millet products were tested and shown to have something like 500 ppm gluten in them or maybe more. I'd check it out. :huh:

Thanks, cmom, we did read that on the internet; however, we ate the buns and did not have any problem with them. Our grandson is celiac and very sensitive, and he didn't have any reactin to them. We found them in a small bakery in Northville, MI and wondered if anyone else had tried them. I really would like to find a good recipe using millet flour and flaxmeal (or seed) the way they did.

      If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly...

      No I haven't had one since 2021. I rarely have more than 1 per week.

      Sorry, I see that now as I reread your original post. You say you have hemorrhoids "only once a week" now. When I develop hemorrhoids, which is once every few years now, it generally takes 3-4 days for healing to take place. So, it doesn't seem like you could have much relief time between episodes if you have them weekly. Have you had a lower GI scoping done...

      Everyday I eat a medium to large apple in the morning and a large banana at night. I eat a cup of oatmeal in the evening. The ezekiel wheat bread I eat has a good amount of fiber. I haven't dealt with constipation for at least a year. Most of the time my feces are soft.
